Gilda of VA
Huacaya, Female, Proven | Light Brown
ARI# 31856317, D.O.B. 6/4/2010, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean
Sire: Express's Accoya Benelli ARI#
30697478 Dark Brown Dark Brown, 30697478, Peruvian
Benelli brings genetics to the West Coast not normally found here. He is best described by his original owners, Irish Meadows Alpacas:
“We are so excited about our male, Benelli! Benelli is dark brown with black points and 15/16ths Accoyo. We don’t think another male exists in the United States with his color and lineage!
“In addition to his great lineage, this guy has beautiful popcorn fleece, which is very dense and has beautiful shine. His conformation is spotless. He has strong bone structure and stands proud and tall."
“Benelli is exactly what we were hoping for when we purchased Isabell. Express produced that dark male we wanted! Benelli is solid medium/dark brown with black points, and perhaps he will turn bay black after shearing like his mother.
“His impressive lineage includes herdsires Accoyo Express, Leon, Mr. President, Brutus and Albus.”
Dam: Midnight's Lola ARI#
1388848 True Black Lola has nice dense, soft and crimpy fleece, and a compact boxy shape. Her fleece is a very pleasing, solid color, true black. Lola has fineness AND density to her fleece, as well as a typey head and great proportions. Her fleece won 2nd place out of 9 at OABA's 2006 Spin-Off. Mike Safley placed Lola 3rd out of 8 at AWE in 2006.
Lola is a very cool alpaca. She's an inquisitive girl with attitude, as she listens to you and sniffs your hat. She is definitely one of the farm favorites.
Lola's first cria with Onyx de Mico was born September 24, 2007. His name is Roccobarocco, or 'Rocco' for short, and he is Bay Black with a GORGEOUS head and dark points. Rocco is a very handsome yearling. His fleece is what's called "silky huacaya" - it has extreme brightness, low frequency crimp and consistency.
Description
Gilda is a very healty, vigorous girl. Exceptionally straight, correct conformation and carries a dense crimpy fleece. This girl is a beautiful, strong, smart female (yup, that she is!) and, turns out, a pretty good mom, too.
Her first cria, in 2014, was a gorgeous daughter, Goldie Fawn, out of Patagonia's Manuelo. Manuelo is a well-balanced alpaca, compact with excellent proportions, and a stunning head. His fleece is very dense and fine. AND, he has a wonderful, easy going personality (very heritable)
