Suri, Female, Unproven | Light Fawn
ARI# 32081718, D.O.B. 1/9/2011, 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Bolivian
Sire: Pperuvian Torbio ARI#
123078 White TORBIO was an original in every sense of the word. He was one of the original Accoyo Suri herdsires hand-picked by Don Julio Barreda and introduced to the U.S. by Nola Graham. He was the "REAL THING"!
Torbio had tremendous presence. He was very proud of himself, and although he was smallish in stature, he commanded the respect of all the other males in the pasture. He was also one of the last males to survive from that importation, finally succombing to mortality at 21.5 years old. Even at his advanced age, Torbio had a bright glint in his eye, and a spring in his step.
He is best known for his ability to pass his outstanding traits to his progeny. Even on his last day, Torbio's fleece had blinding luster and that greasy feel that we all strive for. He has reproduced himself over and over, with well over 200 offspring registered. He produced champions in the show ring until July of 2011, throwing his luster, lock and density with great regularity.
Dam: WAP Molly Ringwald ARI#
31310239 Dark Brown Molly Ringwald, much like her namesake, was an eye-catcher from the day she was born. Sired by our incomparable Captain Morgan, she is more proof that the proof is in the progeny. We knew she was a keeper from the time she was a cria.
Molly has not only inherited the finer fleece qualities of her sire with her luster, fineness, and lock structure, but she brings a very friendly, pleasing personality to the barn. Being 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Bolivian, she’s a full 4th generation suri with a pedigree that includes Peruvian Angel, Peruvian Bruxo and the very strong Acero Marka Bolivian line on both sides of her ARI. We feel bringing together the traits of the Peruvians and Bolivians definitely compliment the “finished product” and Molly is an excellent example of the melding of these lines.
Service Sire: WAP Kahuna's Casper ARI#
31093224 White Due Date: 8/16/2015 We have our first Casper cria on the ground and she is absolutely stunning! This is one male to keep you eye on - he'll get a lot of dates this year! Casper is a son of Pucara's Kahuna, herdsire of the year at Futurity for 3 years running. Kahuna has proven his ability to reproduce the suri characteristics we endeavor to breed for in a quality suri breeding program.
Casper was only shown once as a 2-year old and placed 2nd at AOBA in a large class, judged by Amanda VandenBosch. He was a standout for his luster and density on a previously shorn animal. Casper's dam, a Captain Morgan daughter, is dark brown and her color production has typically mirrored the herdsire that she's bred to. Hence......Casper! But, he definitely has colored genetics behind him and we'll be breeding him to some color this year to see what he can do.
His first cria, a stunning white female, is the "eye candy" in the cria pen so far this year. Her luster and presence have her standing out to all who visit. Grab a breeding to this boy while you can!
