Sire: 5C's Condor ARI#
30602083 Bay Black Condor is the beautiful result of breeding our Black Tie Affair to the 2006 AOBA Champion Black Male, Cormorant. He is one of only two males from Black Tie and he's a promising one. Condor's phenotype turns heads everywhere he goes. His macho, full-fleeced head and heavily-boned, fully covered legs definitely create a wow factor. His fleece is one of those extremely fine fleeces that doesn't hold up well to moisture and humidity. In fact, at a recent show his placement was greatly affected by humidity as he looked liked someone had poured water over his blanket. We were amazed that he still placed!!!
With a calm demeanor, beautiful fleece and great bloodlines, we have put him to work in our black breeding program. Condor's first cria was born in June. A true black female (Calla Lily) with a wonderful soft fleece. Check back for updates!!!!
We are amazed that Condor at 5 years old is better than ever. This line really does tend to mature late and he just keeps getting better!!!! We all adore this macho.
Dam: Iris Incredula ARI#
812321 Dark Silver Grey Iris is one of the first alpacas we purchased. This full Chilean female is worth her weight in gold. Besides being a very dependable breeder who gives birth without a hitch, she continues to produce great offspring. Her daughter Cereza Negra (black) was our first Champion!!! Her first daughter, Callista (grey), won a blue ribbon at MAPACA at barely six months of age. Iris has produced grey and black, depending on the color of the herdsire (black with fawn twice). This makes Iris a great addition to a grey/black breeding program. Her daughters are great producers too.
This female just presented us with female #7. She just never ceases to amaze us with the quality of her offspring. She surprised us on June 11th, a sunny Saturday morning. Iris made sure nobody was paying attention and delivered another beautiful black female sired by our Condor. Little 5C's Calla Lily joined the herd without creating any attention, but we think she'll get plenty of attention in the future.
We realize that Iris is getting older, but she still produces like a champ. We have several of her daughters in our breeding program and decided to share. Iris is offered bred to your choice of our herdsires and one additional breeding that may be transferred if you choose. A great by for a starter herd.
Description
Lily is another beautiful black female from Iris and our Condor. This girl is the epitome of true black.....no fading here. She's got great conformation and a 19.7 micron black fleece. She will be ready to breed this spring. Calla Lily's fleece is wonderfully fine and consistent. A real spinner's dream. Lily is sold with a breeding to the buyers choice of our herdsires. We would recommend Chill Factor, Cascade or Catalist. Check out our list of Champion Herdsires, it's your choice!!!
