Stargazer's Amadeus - Sold
Huacaya, Male, Unproven | Medium Fawn
ARI# 32309614, D.O.B. 9/25/2012, Full Peruvian
Sire: 6P Royal Gold Imp98 ARI#
808058 Medium Fawn Royal Gold passed in 2013 at about 17 yo. He was one of the nations finest imports. It was quite an eye opener in the 1990's when his first cria started testing at 14 and 15 micron. Many also sustained that fineness until well into adult years. He also produced many black and grey offspring even when bred to lighter colors. Antares is a solid black herdsire with a great disposition that we are still using today. He is among the top 10 Black herdsires in the EPD program for improving both fineness and fleece weight.
Consistent, Persistence, Fineness.... A product of the Antacalla/Allianza breeding program, Royal Gold was originally held as the importer's personal herdsire selection in the last Peruvian importation (1998). His reproducibility is undeniable! He has proven to improve density, fineness and crimp.
Royal Gold has sired numerous Champion, blue ribbon offspring that will always get comments from the judge remarking about their fineness and presence. He was capable of producing all colors, including black and grey.
One of his greatest gifts to his offspring was passing on his strong presence and attitude which is noticeable from birth.
Stargazer's Antares (black) and Royal Rumble are taking over his duties with a new defined purpose. We can now offer his genetics in a greater depth of color and fineness. Rumble has been 15 micron for two years in a row.
Dam: Stargazer's Anake - SOLD ARI#
31015363 Medium Fawn, Light Rose Grey Anake is one of our favorite girls. She's a beautiful, proud girl with a silly personality. Her barn name is "anna banana". Always quick to join in when the crias are running and playing. Curious and interested in what you are up to when working in the pen.
She will provide a solid production foundation and is ranked in the top 5% for increased Staple Length and Fleece Weight. Her fawn fleece is somewhat variegated as shown below. (Often termed as a "Fawn Grey") While color uniformity likely held her back the show ring, it is a plus for beautiful yarn and products.
Anake is an accoyo/allianza cross with a mostly fawn and white pedigree. We have kept this line in our herd since we started. She will provide predictability and deliver many wonderful qualities for your herd improvement. Her 2013 cria, Andrew, is pictured below, is out of a white male that has only white in his pedigree. Beautiful head and fleece.
She currently open and will be bred this Spring. It is hard to decide It may be interesting to see what she would produce bred to Antares, our black herdsire, or another repeat of Andrew. (he's pretty nice)
Please feel free to email us for a current and complete price list of our herd reduction sale. To keep our reduction efforts on track, we are continually adding animals to the sales list and lowering prices.
Description
Under 18 micron at two years old will likely stay fine for many more years.
Champion Accoyo on one side and Antacalla lifetime fineness genetics on the other. This 6P Royal gold son is one of the last we have available. We had held on to him and is sibling to see which of the two remaining Royal Gold sons fawns would take over their sires role in our breeding program. As it turned out his half brother, Royal Rumble, had a little more face coverage and was a couple micron finer two years and a row. .
Amadeus has a gorgeous superfine fleece with a high degree of style and architecture. I'd expect it to stay fine like his siblings and sire, 6P Royal Gold.
