Award winning Ringo daughter!
CCNF Silken Fire
Huacaya, Female, Unproven | Dark Brown
ARI# 32314489, D.O.B. 10/25/2011,
Sire: CCNF Royal Ring of Fire ARI#
851781 Dark Fawn CCNF Royal Ring Of Fire is the son of Snowmass Royal Rose and the late 5Peruvian Margarita, whom we were lucky enough to have here as a member of our foundation herd in the early years of our farm's existence.
Royal Rose was well known for producing crias in all colors and just like his sire Ring Of Fire is also adding density and outstanding character to his crias while also throwing color! His crias are consistently typey and are often even a shade darker than the dams he has been bred to. Seven years into his career as a working Herdsire here at CCNF, his record as a proven producer of Champions is well established and his offspring in colors ranging from Fawn to Black have won major awards at the most important shows in the country!
With such greats as Hemingway and Bueno in his pedigree, Ring of Fire is proudly carrying his family's legacy forward! Royal Ring of Fire is proudly co-owned with our good friends in the Badger family.
Dam: CCNF Andean Silk ARI#
1156645 Dark Brown A Color Champion in her own right, she is also the dam of Futurity Champion CCNF Tanzania and our working Herdsire, CCNF Silken Damask.
Service Sire: Snowmass Conopa's Kahuna ARI#
31795531 Dark Fawn Due Date: 7/15/2014 Snowmass Conopa's Kahuna was one of two incredible Herdsires we were able to acquire a half interest in from our friends at Tripping Gnome Farm late in 2012.
Because we have shared so many genetics with the Snowmass herd over the years, he is at least distantly related to many of the females in our breeding program. No matter though. There are names in his pedigree that frankly we can never really get enough of. The fact that Kahuna is one powerhouse distillation of them all is really just a bonus as far as we are concerned! Quality begets quality, it's really not rocket science after all.
Though we will most likely shy away from crossing Kahuna with the Matrix Majesty daughters (Majesty's mom and Kahuna's paternal granddam are one and the same), that still leaves a load of Cameron and Ring of Fire kids and their descendants for him to pivot off of. As it is, we have already seen one incredible little female of his with our own eyes and have little doubt as to the prepotency of this spectacular Herdsire.
CCNF is proud to co own Kahuna with Stillmeadow Farm of Stonington, CT.
Description
Meet the 2012 AOBA National Fleece Show Reserve Champion brown female! Not completely by chance of course: Silken Fire’ s maternal siblings are a blue ribbon winning working Herdsire in our breeding program (CCNF Silken Damask) and the 2012 NAAS and Futurity Champion black female (CCNF Tanzania). In fact, it is only the presence of her older sister that makes this female strategically expendable in our eyes.
While the phenotype we love so much from her sire, CCNF Royal Ring of Fire is all there, the first thing that you will notice when you put your hands on this young show girl is just how insanely fine she is for an alpaca of her color. Having said that, were we to pick on her just a little we would breed her to a male that would add more density without sacrificing on that fineness in any way, shape, or form. Luckily for us – and of course her new owners – we possess just such a Herdsire! We have bred Silken Fire to our 2-time Futurity Champion, Snowmass Conopa's Kahuna, for a late July 2014 cria! Kahuna has already shown that his genetics crossed with those of the Royal Rose line can produce spectacular results and we expect nothing less out of this match...
