RR MIDNIGHT KISS - SOLD
Huacaya, Female, Proven | True Black
ARI# 31620307, D.O.B. 6/27/2010,
Sire: Snowmass Midnight Sun ARI#
30820425 Light Fawn Sunny has been very effective as a herdsire in our breeding program. He has brought the fleece characteristics one would expect in a light fawn multi champion and he has consistantly put those charactistics into clors from fawn through black...producing banners in his offspring.
Sure he can produce at least 505 black when bred to black (he has exceeded that), but look at the fiber analytics on our webpage, in both micron and density...especially in black.
He not only has improved micron all the dams that he has been bred to but has consistantly produced densities over 50, even in balck and his offspring are all in the top percentages of all blacks sampled through Alpaca Consulting USA, Ian Watt and includes RR Belleza Nera, the densest female alpaca in ANY color that he has biopsied as of 9/17/13..a striking blue black female.
Sunny's density is not too shabby:
Follicle testing (Ian Watt)(6/30/09)
Follicle density:63.17/mm2
S/P 11.2:1
Dp:Ds ratio: 1.51
He is a utility breeder who will fit into any color breeding program and raise across herd statistics across the color spectrum.
We are trying to keep a relatively small herdire row and Sunny's genetics have been well represented in our herd, so he is also being offered for sale.
He's young and has a strong libido. He settled his first female at 17 months.
Dam: RR El Fuegino's Venus ARI#
30669086 True Black 1/2 Chilean, 1/2 Peruvian - We got lucky with the breeding decision that brought us Venus. Her dad, El Fuegino is a wonde4rful herdsire who has since moved on after contributing bountifully to our program, but Venus was the black that we wanted out of his genetics.
She has a well defined, very bright, non fading black fleece.
Venus is bred to our up and coming herdsire Snowmass Midnight Sun for 2010. We have very high expectations for this breeding pair. Midnight Sun is a fawn/recessive black with incredible superfine fiber and follicle density testing. He is a gorgeous male with a commendable show career. We own his mom, an incredible Snowmass Legacy Gold daughter who combined with Snowmass Midnight Magic, the reknowned black herdsire, to contribute Midnight Sun to our herdsire row. "Sunny" will be getting all of our black females and we're hoping that he will add density to all of their fleeces. He has the black genetics, but gives up little in comparison to the top light fawns in the country, many of w
Description
Midnight Kiss has been a consistent producer of quality cria. She is our own Midnight Sun's first offspring and when we dialed in for a true black female out of a light fawn/recessive black male, we didn't even have to specify outstandingly promising superbright, superfine non fading, boldly and uniformly defined fiber.
BIOPSY RESULTS! 12/24/2012
Density: 58.6/mm
Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 11.7:1
In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 25.4 µ Standard Deviation: 2.9 µ Range: 20.7 µ to 31.0 µ
In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 18.4 µ Standard Deviation: 2.6 µ Range: 12.1 µ to 27.2 µ
Comments:
These are very good numbers for a true black female alpaca.
This is the highest testing density black female tested to date, has an excellent S:P ratio and very good SD’s for an alpaca of any color with some evidence of derived (branching) secondary follicles helping the secondary fiber population numbers across the board.

For this pregnancy we have bred her to Legato Grigio, who has proven himself across our herd and established himself as a powerhouse of color genetics. We are very excited about this next cria.
