Chelsey is beautifully conformed PPeruvian Javier daughter who has thrown very nice cria. Javier is a Maggie Krieger owned sire from the Kenamori region of Peru and one of Canada's top herdsires. He is a two time get-of-sire winner and has had many champion offspring. Chelsey still has lustrous, crimpy fleece with good density. She is an incredibly attentive and protective mother which has thrown color when bred to color. Her former fawn female that is a Patagonia Darwin daughter has a wonderful staple length with consistent, crimpy fiber. Offspring: On 8/22/2009, Chelsey presented us with a lovely medium fawn female sired by GB Alpaca's Tiger Woods. TIGER'S CASCADE DOLL was on our 2010 show string, bringing home blue ribbons from every show she attended! On 6/19/2011, Chelsey gave us a beautiful medium brown female out of Snowmass Andean Midnight, our beautiful, compact jet true black, silky-soft male who holds an outstanding pedigree for fineness. On 6/13/2013, Chelsey presented us with a pretty light brown female, also out of Snowmass Andean Midnight. Chelsey has had blue ribbon winners in the show ring, and this little one may do just that also. ESTATES CATALINA won 2nd Place at the 2014 TxOLAN show, in addition to several other ribbons during the 2014 show season. On 6/23/2014, Chelsey gave birth to a handsome brown male also sired by Snowmass Andean Midnight whose crias have luster, fineness, and unique character on top of his excellent true black genetic package of brightness and handle.

A quick look at RRoyal Stars ARI certificate will illustrate just how painstakingly the Skinners, at Snowmass Alpacas, constructed their breeding decisions to arrive at this offspring. We purchased mom as the second highest selling female at their 2007 auction. Roy has quietly ascended to the top of our breeding program and undeniably will be a major contributor. He is out of 2 outstanding Snowmass fawns. We believe that he is a "switch hitter" and expect that he will produce both great whites and more importantly color. Mom is one of our strongest foundation females and has produced champions repeatedly. Dad is one of the best Hemingway sons with an outstanding production record, including Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass XXXtreme (brown). He is incredibly dense, very fine, and his fleece "glows". It is extremely uniform with a baby soft hand. It breaks into long,silky, draping, opalescent locks belying his incredible fineness/density. 2009 was a breakout season for Roy. He brought raves from every judge who saw him and acquitted himself well against some of the best in the country. Follicle density testing (Ian Watt) Follicle density: 79.51 /mm2 S/P: 13.0:1 Dp:Ds ratio 1.42 " This is the 4th densest alpaca that we have tested in the US and the 5th in the world" (as of 6/30/09) (For comparison, El Nino was higher at 89.5 in follicle density, but had an S/P 12.5 compared to Roy's 13.0/1.) We have used RRoy across our herd now for three years with remarkable results in increased density and fineness. We are now using his best son RR Arturo (see his biopsy results) to replace his father in our colored program. RRoy's light fawn son, RR Bacchus just won FIRST PLACE and COLOR CHAMPION at his first show under Diana Timmerman.
