ARI# 31115469, D.O.B. 6/3/2008, Full Peruvian
Sire: Shavano ARI#
30358652 True Black Shavano is our true black, full Peruvian, half Accoyo male who was named the 2010 AAA Futurity Dark Herdsire of the Year. His lock and density are extreme for a black suri. His mother, GLL Macatawa is a medium fawn daugher of 4 P Macusani, one of our foundation females who had 8 female crias for us in a row. Shavano's sire is 4 P Miguel a white, full accoyo male. As a juvenile, Shavano was Black Male Color Champion at the AAA Futurity in 2006 and Reserve at MAPACA. As a yearling he was first in his class at both the AAA Futurity and AOBA that year, after being shorn the previous spring. His first crop of crias were shown in 2009. We only showed two crias that year, GLR Arappaho, now owned by Linda Kondris of Pine's Edge Suri Alpacas in Colorado, who won both the MAPACA and AOBA Black Male Color Championship, and GLR Tica, who was the Reserve Brown Female Champion at both the AAA Futurity and MAPACA. So far this spring GLR Tica has gone on to win the Reserve Brown Female Championship at the 2010 AAA Futurity as a yearling and the Brown Female Color Championship and Judges Choice at GWAS in Denver. Shavano also won Get of Sire in Denver, with three colored suris. Shavano won the Dark Herdsire of the year at the AAA Futurity with 4 Reserve Color Championships in both Black and Brown, in both the male and female catagories. GLR Tica went on to win the 2010 AOBA Nationals Brown Female Color Championship and GLR Ali was awarded the 2010 ABOA Reserve Black Female Color Championship.
Shavano offspring were responsible for Great Lakes Ranch being named the 2010 and the 2011 AAA Futurity Medium Size Breeder of the Year and the 2012 AAA Futurity Reserve Breeder of the Year.

Dam: GLR Allelujah ARI#
30358782 Light Fawn
GLR Allelujah was our favorite in regard to Synergy's first crop of female offspring. She was so lustrous that is seemed like it took days for her to dry off and we couldn't help but be excited about her extreme density and excellent lock. She was shown three times in 2006 at the country's largest and most competitive shows (AAA Futurity, AOBA & MAPACA), and at each show she was in the ribbons. Her dam is one our favorites, GLL Alita who is also the dam of GLR Amelita, the 2005 AAA Futurity Grey Female Color Champion. Allelujah's 2007 cria was a beautiful medium brown female, GLR Anasazi. Her 2008 cria, GLR Arappaho, is a killer true black Shavano son ( our 1/2 Accoyo true Black male Champion) who was one of our best 2009 show string members, winning Black Male Color Champion at MAPACA and the 2009 AOBA Nationals. He was purchased by Linda Kondris of Pines Edge Suri Alpacas. Allelujah's 2009 cria is another true black Shavano kid, this time a female, GLR Ali, and who won Reserve Black Female Color Champion at the 2010 AAA Futurity, Black Female Color Champion at GWAS and the Reserve Black Female Color Champion at 2010 AOBA Nationals. GLR Airella, Allelujah's 2010 female Shavano daughter, a full sibling to GLR Arrappaho and GLR Ali was sold to Heidi Skinner at Snowmass Alpacas at the 2011 AAA Futurity. Allelujah's 2012 cria, a black female sired by Shavano, GLR Alia, was a member of our 2013 and 2014 show string and made her mother proud. She was first at the 2013 AAA Futurity and was first again at the 2013 MAPACA Jubilee where she went on to win the Black Female Color Championship and 1st and Reserve Black Female Color Champion at AOBA Nationals standing behind her pal, Shavano daughter GLR Jamaica who won Color Champion and Judges Choice! GLR Alia in 2014, was the AOA Nationals Black Female Color Champion the 2014 AAA Futurity in Kansas City and the Reserve Black Female Champion at MAPACA. She also won the Black Color Championship at the 2014 Suri Network flee
Description
Arappaho is a striking Suri herdsire with rare bloodlines, from the outstanding breeding program at Great Lakes Ranch. Only shown twice in 2009, Arappaho was named Black Male Champion at both the 2009 AOBA National show in Cleveland with over 800 Suris and was also Champion at MAPACA in 2009. His fleece has that sought-after extreme greasy feel and is lustrous throughout each lock. He has well defined, consistent locks across the blanket with coverage to his toes and his conformation is exact with strong bone.
Arappaho is a Shavano son out of an outstanding Synergy daughter. Shavano is half accoyo, true black and the 2010 Dark Herdsire of the Year. He was Black Male Color Champion as a Juvenile at the 206 AAA Futurity and Reserve Black Male Color Champion at MAPACA that spring. Shavano went on to win his class the next year as a yearling at both the AAA Futurity and AOBA Nationals in 2007. Arappaho's dam, GLR Allelujah, is a fawn female with extreme luster and great density. Shavano is not open to outside breedings so Arappaho presents a great opportunity to add some of Shavano's rare genetics to your breeding program.
Arappaho has produced many exceptional offspring. He received first place in Get of Sire at the American Alpaca Showcase in 2015, with Ale of Harmony, Elizabeth of Harmony, and BB of Harmony.
Plan your breedings now to this Champion, rare Shavano son, GLR Arappaho.
