Description

LHSA General Quatro earned his name by being the FOURTH CRIA BORN IN ONE DAY on our farm...and it was on shearing day! With an average weight of 160 pounds, he is a full sized male but not overly tall. His size makes him good for breeding and ease of handling. Quatro is halter trained and has an agreeable personality.

Quatro has a well balanced frame with strong confirmation. Quatro's fleece has curl and pearl locks and will dye well. When sheared Quatro's fleece averages 4.5-6 pounds annually.

Quatro earned a 4.1/5 on the S.H.I.P. scale. He scored high on luster, uniform color, and all confirmation categories.

LHSA General Quatro is a Peruvian MacGyver grandson and a Accoyo Crown Royal great-grandson. He's got the credentials to be a fine herd sire, but unfortunately did make our breeding program over recent years due to his color.

A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.

We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
