Sire: Bevo of Copper Ridge ARI#
30336278 Bay Black We spotted this young male at the AOBA conference and were immediately intrigued by what we saw. Bevo is what is referred to as "The Total Package" and five separate judges have mentioned just that. He has incredible density and coverage, and tons of character in his soft-handling fleece. His large boned yet compact frame make a second look common. Under the term "alpaca phenotype" you just might find a picture of Bevo. When we teach people about conformation, we use Bevo as the example. These characteristics are all a must for any breeding program. Bevo's calm, confident, gentle personality just add to his total appeal.
Although Bevo has won in both bay black and dark indefinite classes; his lineage of silver gray, true black, brown, fawn and beige from Chile, Bolivia and Peru shine in this package of diversity. We have bred him to females of a broad spectrum of colors to find his true identity. His first cria have arrived and they are truly amazing. They all have his heavy bone and perfect conformation (see Photo)The fleeces are very dense, very fine, with brightness and in the majority of his crias the color of the dam. The colors range from light fawn to true black. Of the offspring on our farm, the highest AFD of fleece was 19.0. We think that's pretty remarkable.
Bevo's famous mid-western sire Providence Rennes, is the multiple blue ribbon winning, half-brother of Dom Lucilio. And Bevo's mother is out of Desparado, a blue ribbon winner at both AOBA and MAPACA. These are fantastic and uniquely crossed bloodlines now available in Pennsylvania.
At age 8 Bevo's fleece is still fine and exhibits beautiful structure and he continues to amaze our shearer with his density.
We proudly co-own Bevo with our dear friends Chris and Lori Works of Kendall Creek Farms.
Can you tell...... we love this guy!!!!!
Dam: 5C's Condoleeza ARI#
30901575 True Black Condoleeza is the true black daughter of our foundation female, Iris Incredula. She was sired by the Champion, Royal Ransom who is from Royal Fawn and Mr.President bloodlines. Iris has produced some stunning offspring in black and grey and Condy is no exception. Condoleeza has continued that tradition. Condy's conformation is perfect and her black fleece has become even more beautiful as she matures.
Condy's first cria, a beautfiul female sired by our Bevo carries a 15.9 micron, true black fleece. Condy and Bevo's first cria was sold before we had a chance to show her. Her fleece was shown at MAPACA 2011 and placed 2nd, missing first place by .5 point. We were so pleased with the first cria that we repeated the breeding. He is bay black with perfect conformation and a very promising fleece. Cerberrus was 2nd at MAPACA and 4th at AOBA in 2012 and has been sold as a herdsire.
Condy gave us a beautiful black female from C-Cret Weapon in 2011 (C-Cret's Victoria) and another in 2012 (Cadabra) sired by Accoyo America Kamikaze!!!!! Condoleeza is an outstanding mother and a very dependable breeder. We have had no problem selling her offspring.
Description
Cerberrus is Condy's second cria sired by Bevo and he's a winner (like his blue ribbon sister before him). Cerberrus has the wonderful fleece characteristics and conformation of both his parents. His stocky frame covered with a beautiful true black fleece is a package that most breeders would be very proud to own. Unfortunately for Cerberrus, we own both his parents and he needs to find a home with a herd that can use him to his full potential. He's priced to sell. Grab him and put him to work for you. He should be ready to begin breeding soon.
Cerberrus placed 2nd in a full class of true black yearling males at MAPACA 2012. He also placed well in a large competitive class of 2 year old males at AOBA (several of which were previous AOBA Champs). The judges always commenton his strong, solid frame and extremely consistent fleece. Besides his wonderful phenotype and fleece characteristics he has a very easy going disposition very much like his parents.
Cerberrus has been sold. Congratulations to Debbie and Steve of Sir Williams Huacayas. Cerberrus has a confirmed pregnancy with cria due in September of 2013.
