Sire: Heatherbrook's Sparks ARI#
30856608 Medium Rose Grey We discovered Sparks while evaluating offspring of another herdsire we were interested in. Sparks is the son of the well known grey herdsire, Danko. Danko is a Chilean import who has sired numerous champion offspring. Sparks numerous blue ribbons and two banners, have no doubt been earned by his beautiful fleece and solid conformation. His fine fleece is dense, possesses wonderful architecture and incredible staple length. We particularly like the well defined crimp and lock structure in this rose grey fleece.
Sparks first cria (5C's Cascade of Sparks) is silver grey from a black dam. This beautiful silver grey male has solid conformation and a fine dense fleece. Contesto is another Sparks son who has won multiple blues and two Res Champ Banners for his fleece. It seems that Sparks is producing greys (both silver and rose), blacks, browns and fawns. The crias all have very solid conformation with heavy bone structure, fine fleeces with incredible staple length and beautiful phenotype.
Sparks is currently at Cinco C's Alpacas..
co-owned with Heatherbrook Farms LLC
Sparks will be available at our Shades of Grey Event in June.

Dam: 5C's Cereza Negra ARI#
1017670 True Black Cereza Negra was one of the first crias born on our farm. Even then, we knew as soon as we saw her that she was something very special. Her show career proved that we weren't the only ones who thought that. Cereza began her show career at six 1/2 months with a 1st place at NAAS '04 and finished with a Championship at PAOBA '05 with numerous top honors in between. She is now retired to our breeding program and has given us beautiful offspring out of many different herdsires.
Cereza Negra is from our foundation female, Iris Incredula and Black Mesquite. Cereza Negra is an outstanding black female with fleece characteristics that have been said to rival any white fleece. She carries a very dense, soft fleece with amazing character on a beautiful frame. She is not large in stature, but her conformation is perfect. Just look at her solid bone, beautiful head and full topknot!!!
Cereza's last two crias have been multi-champion males. Contesto is rose-grey and Contender is black. Contender reminds us very much of her. His fleece is extremely dense and full of knotted little bundles. We've named him Contender and he has lived up to his name. Res. Champ at his very first show and recently a Res Champ at the NATIONAL Show. 6 Banners to date and has begun his breeding career.
This girl never ceases to amaze us with her offspring. Cerezo is bred to LMFI Jeremiah's Indescribable. OH the anticipation!!!!!
Description
Contesto is the son of two of our Champions Cereza Negra and Sparks and he has not disappointed us. He capped off the Spring 2012 Show Seaason with a blue ribbon at AOBA Nationals in Kentucky. At PAOBA he earned three blue ribbons and a Res. banner. He's small in stature, but one judge described him as a "tank" due to his very solid build. He's a fleece producing machine!!!! His fine, dense, fleece is very consistent with beautiful character and the judges at MAPACA and PAOBA placed it first and Res. The combination of all of the above have served him well in the showring and in the fleece room.
Extreme temperatures during the AOBA Show in Kentucky affected Contesto and we almost lost him. Obviously, he survived but we weren't certain of his reproductive capability. He's a strong willed male and ........We are thrilled that we have 3 confirmed pregnancies from him and can't wait for his first crias to arrive this year.
At 4+years of age Contesto still carries a consistent fleece with a micron of 15.9 and incredible brightness.
Come visit the farm to see Contesto!!!!!
********Sadly, we lost Contesto in June of 2015. I leave this entry so that his two beautiful crias will have their sire's wonderful achievements included on their information.
