Sire: IAOC Wally ARI#
838733 Medium Fawn Wally almost defies description, he is so spectacular! The color of a shiney new penny, he glistens in the sun! He has the tinest locks ever! His conformation is perfect. His crias so far are true black, dark red, & beige, and have exceptional luster; 4 of which are show ribbon winners!!! Wally's sire is true black! And when it comes to breeding, Wally takes his job very seriously, usually getting his job done the first go 'round. Consider this powerhouse for your drive-by needs.
Dam: Wombat's Keeping the Faith - Deceased ARI#
841958 True Black Faith has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Loosing Faith left a hole in our hearts. One of the original alpacas of our farm, she gave us several good cria. Faith's fiber stayed in the top EPD's even as she became an adult.
Visitors to our farm were always drawn to our Faith. Her True Black with White accents were eye catching, but her inquisitive sweet personality stole the show.
Description
She was born dark brown, but her mothers' black came in strong. Her dam's fleece has twice won first place at AOBA as a mill spun yarn. Fineness & Luster sells every time especially in black. Her sire took color champion at 5yrs of age.
Dulcynea is now Bay Black, with very soft fleece. She has a good temperament and is halter trained.
A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasound performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.
We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
