LHSA Ragamuffin scored a 4.43 in the S.H.I.P program! A perfect suri type & confirmation score. His fiber scores for handle, lock, density, uniformity were all between 4 and 4.5! We couldn't have been more pleased with this nice locked and lustrous suri male. Ragamuffin has solid fleece on his legs and the back of his head, and a model suri head.

Ragamuffin's density is 35 follicles /sq. mm, with a S/P of 8.5. His secondary fibers average 26.1 micron with primaries at 31.8 micron. His fiber shear weight averages between 4-5.4 pounds.

LHSA Ragamuffin was not a fit for our breeding program due color. He has experienced no major health issues. He is halter trained and handles easily.

A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 1 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.

We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
