Quetzal's crias have ranged in color from black to white with magnificent phenotype, perfect conformation, and outstanding fleeces. His crias have soft, dense fleeces with high-frequency, high-amplitude crimp styles in addition to Quetzal's trademark head.

Description
Persniketa (aka 'Pretzel') is a typey ¾ Peruvian young female with a wonderfully dense and soft, blue-black fleece. She has beautiful big dark eyes, and the cutest fuzzy ears! Pretzel has some powerhouse genetics in her background including her sire Quetzal and grandsire Timoteo. Her dam’s side is equally impressive with Black Mesquite and Matador genetics. The lines of Accoyo Timoteo/Quetzal and Peruvian Matador/Black Mesquite always cross very well and this girl is not an exception! Pretzel is a friendly, curious alpaca with a mild, laid-back temperament and is a healthy, easy-keeper.
For her maiden breeding we chose to pair her with Magical Farms outstanding MSG herdsire My Peruvian Sky King, son of two amazing grey imports CPeruvian Silvio and CPeruvian Silvia. We were absolutely thrilled when Pretzel delivered a beautiful jet black male. "Nugget" is quite the little hot shot with "look at me" conformation, amazing fleece, and a friendly and silly personality!
For 2014 Pretzel was bred to our TB herdsire Black Silver (aka 'Moose'). Moose carries an amazing lineage with MSG Snowmass Sterling Silver – from the renowned Snowmass Peruvian Casanova line – as his sire, and our own DSG Rosalee (producer of numerous champions) as his dam. For 2018 Pretzel was bred to FPA Gold Ascension - an amazing MF Full Peruvian Jeremiah son. Pretzel delivered once again and gave us a beautiful TB male with the most luscious fiber!
