Her sire, Silver Thunder is from a grey dam, Cajas, and the black well-known male Black Thunder of Alpacas of America. Silver Thunder has won many blue ribbons in the show ring including a Reserve Championship at the BigE 2001. Silver Lupine is a stunning representation of his ability to produce grey of high sheen, great density, and fine crimp with a superior handle of softness.
Silver Lupine has produced 3 outstanding crias for us, one grey, and 2 blacks. She births easily, and her crias thrive. She will be a great addition to anyone’s grey or black breeding program.
Silver Lupine was bred to our newest herdsire Accoyo America Phoenix for an Aug. ’08 cria. We are very excited about this pairing not only because of Phoenix’s outstanding fleece characteristics, but also because he has a True Black dam. Service Sire: Skyline's Highlander ARI#
31134200 Light Fawn Due Date: 7/21/2011 Skyline’s Highlander is an outstanding herdsire. His sire is MKC Prince Jordan a Med. Rose Grey Absolute son and his dam is Chase Tavern Nayla Gold one of our best production females, who is an Altiplano Gold daughter. Highlander is the complete package with a spectacular head, great bone density and an impressive fleece. He is maintaining his fleece, which is both dense and fine. His 2010 histogram was: 17.0 AFD, 3.2 SD, 18.9 CV, & 0.5 %>30u, and his 2011 histogram was 20.6 AFD, 3.4 SD, 16.6 CV, & 1.1 %>30u.
If you want to add fineness and crimp to your fleece and still maintain density, Highlander would be an excellent choice for your females. Plus, his sire is a Rose Grey, Futurity blue ribbon winner, so Highlander would be an especially great pairing for your grey females!
Just look at Highlander's latest cria! A beautiful Black out of Lovely Rita. We are Thrilled.
Description
Skyline’s Tamba is a True Black daughter of our premier, DRG, multiple award-winning herdsire Patagonia’s Giovanni; her dam is Chase Tavern Silver Lupine, a MSG daughter of Silver Thunder. This breeding brought together some of the finest in East and West Coast genetics. Given her spectacular lineage, we weren’t surprised by Tamba’s silky handled dense fleece and we were thrilled when we opened up her cria fleece at one months age to discover she was a beautiful True Black color. Tamba has very correct conformation and style as well!
Tamba is a great mother. She delivers easily and has plentiful milk and good mothering skills. Her first cria, a beautiful Med. Fawn girl was out of PPeruvian Guellermo, an impressive Peruvian import. Tamba’s 2010 cria is out of our recently sold, Bay Black Herdsire, Skyline's Nairobi. We were very pleased with this young male, as he is dense, has bright crimpy fleece with a soft handle and long staple length. For 2011 we have bred Tamba to Skyline's Highlander, one of our up and coming new males. He is an Absolute Grandson, out of MKC Prince Jordan, and one of our top females, Nayla Gold. Highlander is very dense and very fine, and we are hoping for a Grey cria out of Tamba, given both of these animal's Grey backgrounds.
We have put some of our very solid foundation girls on the market as we are trying to reduce numbers. You won’t be disappointed with a purchase of Tamba as she is a great mom, and we think this current breeding will produce a very nice cria.
