Description

Black Velvet is our stunning Synopsis Nocturna son out of a full Peruvian Matador Dam. With velvety soft, lustrously black fleece, he truly is Black Velvet. He also has correct conformation, good bone density, and a gentle personality. Black Velvet was shown at the most competitive shows during his juvenile year and he achieved a Blue Ribbon at the 2006 AOBA Nationals in a very large class.

With Black Velvet’s outstanding genetics, and show record, we were very excited to add him to our Stud Row. Black Velvet settled his first female with one breeding, just shy of 2 years of age! That cria has arrived, and he is an outstanding Med. Brown male out of a white dam. We couldn't be more pleased. We were equally pleased with his 2009 crias. He gave us two daughters, both very nice Dark Fawn/Light Brown girls out of white and light fawn Dams. One of these daughters, Fiesta, won 2nd at the extemely large 2010 GWAS in the Dark Fawn Juvinile FF class!! No surprise with a 19.8 AFD.

Black Velvet is easy to handle and a good breeder. We hate to part with him, but we are downsizing and have too many males. I'm sure you will be pleased to add him to your herdsire row as we know he produces quality cria.
