This boy caught our eye at 3 months old! We thank you, Michelle Alexander, for the opportunity to own this male outright! Cross continued his winning ways in 2016 by taking Champion in every one of the 4 shows he was evaluated in and Judge's Choice at 2016 GWAS. We sheared him in 2015 and his re-growth was nothing short of spectacular - locks organized to the skin, outstanding luster, superior staple length, a wonderful silky hand and a solid,a regal stance that says....."Show me the girls!" His melt-in-your-hand fleece makes dreams of soft silky fabric in a beautiful carmel color a reality. He's the total package and he's working in our herd. This female IS what we are breeding for on our farm!! She is the product of two of our most revered lines - Admiral's Commandor (Admiral) and Lady Di (Captain Morgan). Both of these stunning animals have passed on but we are very fortunate to have many of their genetics still on our farm. Olivia garnered two Judge's Choice awards before she was 8 months old!! All the judges agree...this girl has IT! She has a greasy, lustrous fleece that continues to hold it's luster and fineness, even when she's pregnant. And, if you're looking for personality - sweet, sweet, sweet! Love this girl! Olivia delivered a stunning male, Dark Star, out of DKN Dakini Icy Hot, a Midas' Black Ice son who is deceased. According to the judges, Icy Hot has "Exceptional fineness as a superior trait along with a high degree of wet luster. Locks are exceptionally soft and are the most consistent along with phenotype and conformational balance". These are all traits we look for when choosing breedings for our females. And, he didn't disappoint! Dark Star is exactly what we were hoping for when we sent Olivia out for this breeding. He is not included in her purchase. Goldstar's Zoltar is the son of Lazy G's Accoyo Goldstar. Goldstar has won 20 Get of Sires with 3 of them at Nationals, 3 at The Futurity, and 1 at the Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. Goldstar has been taking his great Full Accoyo genetics and passing them on to his offspring to create champions since at least 2012 when he won the first of his 19 Get of Sire championships. Goldstar’s sire is the great Rockstar making him grandson of the outstanding Accoyo herdsire Torbio. That lineage of males is known for consistently producing progeny with beautiful conformation and with fleeces that are fine, dense, nicely locked, and lustrous. That line is definitely prepotent. That prepotency is exhibited in Zoltar. Zoltar has those attributes and to insure that he will be a densely fleeced alpaca, he was born with great folds of skin on him. Yes, he had wrinkled skin! Zoltar's dam Zarina has great genetics in her pedigree, too. It's a wonderful mix that includes some great Accoyo herdsires in Inca, Bruxo, MacGyver, Uribe, and Accoyo Gold. Her first son by USA Peruvian Jaguar was excellent. He was just unlucky to be born the same month as our Black Beau's Comet. Comet was spectacular. Her 3rd male cria was 1st in a competitive juvie class of 6 at the 2019 Nationals at age 7 months. He was sired by Micah. She also has a nice male by Page Master in 2019. Zarina is an excellent producer as she has had 4 really nice crias sired by 4 different males. A sample from Zoltar's 2019 shearing has been submitted for EPDs and look at that histogram! Wow! His density is 71.8 follicles/sq mm, SAFD 18.7 microns, PAFD 22.2 microns, and that's an S to P spread of only 3.5 microns. Zoltar has had solid results in the show ring. He had a fiber break as a juvie and halter shows were only as a shorn yearling. He had nothing but blue ribbons in his previously shorn halter classes. He's been considered for Color Championships, but never won a banner. Fleece shows have been different. He's back to back Light Male Color Champion in 2019 & 2020 at The Suri Network All Suri Fleece Show. He was not only champion at the 2020 AOA National Fleece Show, he also won Judge's Choice. The outstanding results at fleece shows continued with being awarded Suri Network 2022 Spirit of the Industry! Shows are nice, but we are more concerned about the crias he'll sire after all the shows are done. A number of Goldstar sons are now the ones winning the Get of Sires at the shows like AOA Nationals and The Futurity. If Zoltar is like his dad Goldstar, who didn't have but 1 RC banner in his show career, and then later went on to win 20 Get of Sires because of his outstanding offspring, then we'll be happy.
