Here is another stunning example of the cross between PureSuri and Pucara. PureSuri herd is the best example we can give of a superb breeding philosophy. The Armstrongs, formerly Latah Creek, dominated the suri show ring with, amongst others, their Inca line white suris and it was artistry in the making when we combined the lines of Latah Creek with those of Pucara Kahuna.
Lexus was at the top of the class in our 2013 drop. He has grown out with exceptional density combined with fineness and who we have used extensively since spending his 2015 breeding season in Colorado at Goldyn Rae Alpacas. The production there verified our hopes for him to produce to the excellence of his line!
He shows off a stunning head on a well conformed frame but its the fleece that spanks of his royal lineage. It is exactly what we breed for. High luster, in fact luster to burn! Sired by none other than the five times Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year Pucara Kahuna, his mother also comes from immaculate lineage. PureSuri Lexus is a daughter of one of the densest males we have ever seen, LCA Viho (Inca son) and her dam is a Snowmass Ice Dancer daughter that is infused with the superior genetics of Uribe and Ganador.
We have been stoked with the production from Lexus. We were offering him for sale but we don't think so any more! The cria have had blazing luster with density that is so hard to achieve. He has taken a very important place in our ET program. We are of course selling breedings. He will compliment your suri program with all the suri fleece traits that we admire.
Description
Shalamar is a well balanced female with fleece that screams density. Her pedigree is stacked with power houses like Pucara Kahuna, LCA Huckleberry, and Snowmass Ice Dancer. She is currently in Colorado waiting to be bred this spring to multi champion Kahuna's Lexus for a 2025 cria. This pairing will produce density on a strong conformationally correct body. Shalamar and her 2025 cria will be the perfect addition to an establish breeder or to a new breeder wanting to start with top quality females.
Biopsy result by Dr. Norm Evans "Shalamar “, by Aqua Buddha, was biopsied as a 37 month old white suri female with ARI#35029960. Her biopsy skin thickness calibrated 2.75 mm. She weighs 165.8 lbs. and her BCS was assessed at 4/5. Her 15 scan shows that her normal typical fiber clusters appear very uniform in shape and placement within her connective tissue. Her adjusted density is 75.25 follicles SO MM of skin. 25 typical fiber clusters show an average S/P of 12.9 to 1100 secondary fibers average 21.8 microns and 50 primary fibers average 31.7 microns for a spread of 9.9 microns.
