Snow Diamond Chateau Cerise is a Herd Sire who genetic picture is just what we utilize in our breeding. This boy will give more diversity to our already diverse genetics here at Colusa Riverside. Chateau is a package of genetics that include Matrix, Quechua, Accoyo Elite, and Legacy with a beginning lineage touch of Hemingway. Chateau is as dense as they can come. He is in the 1% for fleece weight. He is fine and uniform in his fineness. Take a look at his EPD genetic picture and what he can produce in his offspring. He definitely has excellent EPDs across all fiber trait values. At age 10 years he is carrying a SL greater than 90 mm, and a CV of 15. We chose him because his genetics will improve every fiber trait in his offspring, in every single trait. in 2023 his fiber yield was 11 pounds. We recently had his offspring at the California Classic and Gold County Gathering, duel shows. They all placed particularly well in every showing. Geneva's fiber quality certainly represents and illustrates these amazing genetics. Geneva fiber is very fine, but most importantly it is uniformly fine. Geneva has superb Expected Progeny Differences (EPDs). She has what every EPD enthusiast looks for, nearly all-around improvement in all fiber traits without too much loss in staple length. Geneva's EPDs are at or under 10.0 in seven out of eight trait characteristic values. You can also see from her pictures that her phenotype is ideal. She has substantial bone mass, and her structural proportions are at the breed standard. Geneva has tight high amplitude crimpy bundling, brightness and a sweet handle. Geneva's offspring have not disappointed us, especially the 2023 beige female cria out of Chateau-Cerise. Pairing these two turn out to have this offspring with impeccable EPDs, fleece character and wonderful show record. Geneva is now bred to Red Granite's Pruet by Bad Boy who we hope will integrate more density and longevity of fineness into her offspring. Bad Boy fleeces have retained fineness for many years. Adding Sub Pruet's linage of Sub Zero and more Matrix with Geneva lineage should bring about a showstopper fleece and the genetics to match. .
