Rosehaven’s GreyFlame
Huacaya, Male, | Medium Rose Grey
ARI# , D.O.B. 7/22/2018,
Sire: Rosehaven's Diablo ARI#
31927536 Dark Fawn Diablo comes from a dam who has thrown us a champ, and a sire who is a 6x blue ribbon winner 3x champion AND a Judges Choice award for Fleece!!! Kodiak Express - whose sire is well known to everyone - Accoyo Express.
Diablo earned his name because when he was born his ears made him look devilish. I really held off trying to come up with another name...but Rob was right, and Diablo it is.
Diablo has done very well in his show career. 3 purple banners!!! 7 blues.
color champion at the Big E 2012, Color champion for fleece at the Green Mountain and Reserve Color Champion at the Southern Select Fleece show. He has a great square build and obviously terrific fleece. great structure and architecture, and soft soft soft! Diablo has been throwing wonderful cria. We are very happy with him. See about your breeding needs!
We would consider co-owning Diablo. if you are interested let us know. He is throwing us great crias!
Dam: Snowmass Austen ARI#
31048781 Medium Silver Grey This blue-ribbon girl comes out of a phenomenal lineage. Her mother is Snowmass Sweet Dreams, a champion grey who won the 2004 Grey Female Champion at All American Futurity, Reserve Color Champion at AOBA Nationals and Reserve Color Champion at Alpaca Western Extravaganza. Her mother produced Snowmass' top two grey males ever produced on their farm (Silver Signature and Royal Dreams), and comes out of Snowmass Peruvian Casanova, one of the country's top grey males who won 2003 Futurity Herdsire of the Year. Austen's father is Snowmass Royal Bronze, one of Snowmass's top production sires and winner of 2004 All American Futurity, 2004 Alpacafest, 2005 Fleece at AOBA and 2004 AWE. Royal Bronze's fleece characteristics are incredible, with 16.4 at 3.5 years of age.
This girl has the best fleece and color genetics available, and she was a strong, healthy cria, born at 21.2 pounds with an IgG over 2900. Her fleece as a cria had beautiful crimp and density, and her coloring is still gorgeous. She is one of the very few greys born with this quality of genetics in both the dam and the sire, truly a unique animal!
She started the show circuit in style, capturing 2nd out of an extremely competitive class as one of the youngest of 15 juvenile female greys at 2008 Alpaca Western Extravaganza (Level V halter). Judge Sara Jane MacLennan commented on her excellent fineness and crimp that brought her right behind the 1st, a Crescent Moon female that was the oldest in the class. Austen went on to take the Blue Ribbon at 2008 Heart of the Valley under Judge Tim Lavan, who praised her density and conformation. Austen also took the 2nd place at 2008 AOBA Nationals (1st was Champion) under Charlene Friedman, who praised her "beautiful head," "stylish appearance," and fleece character and density.
Austen has proven her ability to throw color. She produced a true black male when bred to fawn. She was bred to Adonnis and threw a light brown male, who we named Adonnis Eros. She's one of a kind! Austen has gone on to have Silver Essence - our blue winning Matrix girl and Sweet Solstice our Fawn Matrix girl!! She has also given us a beautiful rose grey male Grey Flame!
She had a beautiful silver grey girl out of Triple threat. Then she had an incredible rose grey boy from Tres Equis. We have rebred her to Triple Threat!
Austen is a joy!
