31139731 Light Brown Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty was also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014.
Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows.
Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

CCNF Love Dove and Snowmass Matrix Majesty blessed us with four full brothers (youngest to oldest): CCNF Love's Grandeur, CCNF Love Rules, CCNF Man of Peace, and last but not least, the elder of the bunch and man of the hour - CCNF Dark Storm. It is highly telling that two of those siblings, Love Rules and MoP, are either already working Herdsires in Europe or on their way there to commence that particular life of Riley. Had we not lost both their sire and dam in 2021 and 2022, respectively, it's a match we frankly would have kept making in perpetuity, as the genetics of Majesty and Love Dove (a CCNF Elixir daughter) seemed just to harmonize whenever they combined.
Stormy and his brothers' secret weapon is, of course, their freakishly uniform maternal grand-dam, TGF Morning Dove (TGF Morning Bells x Snowmass Sub-Zero) who has managed to pass on her fleece characteristics to all of her descendants.
Dark Storm had been slated to lead out our 2020 Futurity team before the Covid-19 pandemic brought that spring's show season to a screeching halt. Yet in spite of the presence of other Majesty/Elixir cross Herdsire's here in our breeding program -- most notably the full brothers Sovereign-Legacy and Triumvirate, as well as CCNF Dominion -- it is the presence and potency of Morning Dove's fleece genetics in him that has guaranteed Dark Storm a slot in the CCNF Stud Barn, despite the lack of gaudy show winnings of many of his siblings and cousins. Five-year-old fawn Herdsires with fiber slash lines of 17.6, 3.2, and 18.1 just don't grow on vines: and that's HERE, at CCNF, the farm most famous for large, heavily (over?) fed animals. Though little known outside of our farm, Dark Storm is now a proven Herdsire with cria on the ground and he continues to age like the finest of wines.
