Her medium fawn fleece is remarkable in uniformity of micron, character and color and exhibits a super soft handle.
But rest assured, there is a genetic powerhouse lurking underneath her sweet and pretty exterior. . . . Her sire, Snowmass Royal Challanger has proven himself by producing an extraordinary consistency of fineness, color and extensive fine wool coverage from head to toe on his progeny. At Happy Hounds we’ve always rooted for the underdog. Those stories that make one appreciate the hard times; because they carry over one day to be another chapter to write in the success story. At seven months post conception, Monty might have never happened, due to an unfortunate injury with his dam Junebug. Between multiple meds, treatments and stress, everyone wondered if she would carry a successful pregnancy. Monty and his dam defied all the odds. As fate would have it, he picked the perfect day to make his entrance into the world– our annual hands on field day for OSU’s 4th year veterinary students under the direction of Doctor Cebra. Monty was a textbook birth. This story alone makes every ribbon a little extra special. His show career hasn't disappointed! Monty’s 2022 show ring results include a 1st place and Huacaya Fawn Male Reserve Color Champion at the 2022 Alpacapalooza and NW Alpaca Showcase. Additional wins to finish out his 2022 show season include 1st at Gold Country Gathering in Medium Fawn Yearling Males. Monty was also apart of 1st place wins for Breeders Best Three at Gold Country. 2023 garnered him double first and Best Bred and Owned male under both judges at TXOLAN!
