Unfortunately, we said good-by to 5C's Captain Midnight in April 2023. Necropsy report failed to give us any reason for his untimely death. We are fortunate to have a few of his offspring to carry on his amazing legacy. We knew Captain Midnight was special the minute he was born. We had no idea just HOW special. Captain currently has 18 banners in both halter and fleece. One of those banners is a coveted Judges Choice Fleece. At his very first show Captain was 1st and CC as the youngest entry in his yearling class. 5C's Captain Midnight won Champion and Res. Champion banners for his 2-year old and yearling fleeces at the 2015 AOA Fleece Conference!!!! These placements and that of his little brother Cardiac Arrest earned Cinco C's Alpacas the Classic Breeder's Cup at the Conference. Captain Midnight is one of the Best of our Best. His dam, 5C's Chocotini is one of our highly coveted females. Her fleece is still amazing at 12 years old. She and LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight have shared their best attributes in producing this amazing male. We are extremely proud to have produced this male. His fleece exhibits extreme density, well-defined crimp and an incredible hand, characteristics usually found in only the lightest fleeces. You must get your hands on this fleece to believe it. Captain's crias have arrived and they are stunning. His crias have remarkable fleeces and at this time colors range from TB to LF and include classic grey. In March of 2016 we added this beautiful true black, Silver Signature daughter to our herd to use with our black herdsires. At that time she was bred to a beautiful grey male and that breeding produced our multi-bannered 5C's Chicago. Once Chicago was born, we decided to breed her to our Contender who is black with plenty of grey in his background. That breeding produced a black female who now resides in Canada. See the rest of her offspring who are grey and black as well. Dahlia is a sweet true black female with fleece to match. She's got great conformation and carries a consistent, dense fleece on a that frame. She's a keeper who makes fantastic crias. Her offspring are black and grey and they all possess solid frames and beautiful dense fleeces. When we purchased Dahlia, we did so with the idea of breeding her to Contender and Captain Midnight. In 2020 everything fell into place to breed her to Captain Midnight. That breeding produced a stunning black female we have named Cirque du Soliel. Since we can't bring ourselves to sell any more of her beautiful offspring, we have decided to offer her for sale. Despite her age of 10, Dahlia is very healthy and has plenty more beautiful crias to offer the discerning breeder. Currently bred to Braxton for a beautiful cria in August of 2023.
