Our VADER'S kids have hit the show ring, big time. True black son, Uproar, has been named 2 X AOA Supreme Champion and Judge's Choice at Futurity and GWAS. Vader's son Cinch has been named AOA National Black Champion and Vader son, Lights Out was named Champion black male at GWAS, while Vader son Applejack was named Champion fawn male at GWAS. Vader won the Get of Sire, dark offspring, class at AOA Nationals. What a start for the Vader kids!! Sired by Dark Arrow of Harmony who has tons of dense and lustrous black fiber. He was a 2xChampion and has champion offspring. Dam is Silver Marquis’ Plantinum who has Bruno, Uribe and a lot of grey in her heritage. Plantinum also has several champion offspring. As a juvenile in 2016, Chica won Reserve Champion at MOPACA and GWAS. In 2017 as a yearling, she won Color Champion at MOPACA and Reserve Champion at Futurity which was the end of her show career. According to the judges, Chica has a very soft hand, she's a beautiful example of a black suri, excellent luster all the way across the body and nice density. One judge commented that he could look at her all day, just beautiful! She was definitely Rock'n the show ring. GLR Moab is the son of Great Lakes Ranch's true black Rockstar granddaughter, Midnight Rock. Brad & Jandy Sprouse specifically bought Midnight Rock, thinking and hoping that when bred to their Shavano pedigreed males that she would make a cria like Moab. His lock, density and luster were impressive to Brad and Jandy even as a little guy. Both parents, Midnight Rock and GLR Rastamon are about as true black as they come with no tipping at all and that great blue black color. With a pedigree of deep black genetics and the excellent fiber characteristics that come from both parents, His first show was the 2014 AOA Nationals where he was first in his class of juveniles and Reserve Black Male Color Champion at only ninth months old and went on to do it again at the largest Suri show of 2014 at the MAPACA Jubilee. He continued to do well in 2015 with a 3rd place at the 2015 AOA Nationals and First and Reserve Black Male Color Champion at the 2015 AAA Futurity. Moab went on to win the Black Male Color Championship at the 2015 MAPACA Jubilee, the biggest Suri show of the year. We partnered with Over Home Alpacas to purchase GLR Moab. Having processed His Dam - Midnight Rock's fleece and having already purchased her 2014 cria GLR Phoebe, who was awarded a championship in her first show and first place at MAPACA 2015 we had a very good feeling about Moab.
