Gentle Abagayl... She is a friend to all. She came to LHSA after her home farm was destroyed by a tornado. We took her herd in for boarding and she was one of several that stayed as a part of our farm. She is halter trained and is easy to handle. Abagayl surprisingly shows no fear of storms after surviving the tornado.
Abagayl does not fit into our current breeding plans and would be an good addition to any herd where a companion is needed. She does not attempt to dominate and accepts new alpacas well.
**A word about the health practices at Long Hollow Suri Alpacas… We take the health of our herd seriously.
• All alpacas are vaccinated annually, and bred females are vaccinated 30-60 days prior to birth of their cria.
• Fecal flotations are performed on EACH individual alpaca monthly and treatment is completed on a per alpaca basis.
• All alpacas receive monthly injections as a precaution against meningeal worm.
• Bred females receive a minimum of 2 ultrasounds performed onsite by a veterinarian and our veterinary technician.
We interact daily with all our animals to ensure any medical needs are addressed as needed and this improves their socialization.
