Dam: Aladdin's Grey Mist _deleted_12/6/2020 12:54:59 AM ARI#
31947954 Light Silver Grey If you are looking for quality black or grey genetics to add to your herd, Aladdin’s Grey Mist has it!! Her strong color genetics will improve any breeder’s desire for strong black and grey genetics in their herd! Grey Mist is known for throwing dark solids, greys, and blacks with soft, dense fleece.
The dam, Kiku, is a lovely silver grey female whose fiber exhibits fineness and a smooth, soft hand. She is conformationally correct and has a correct bite. Kiku's density is 49 follicles per sq mm.
Her sire, Aladdin, one of those rare herdsires that is fine, consistent and dense. In addition, he maintains that fineness in both himself and his cria which is one of the main keys we are all breeding for in alpacas. Add his typey head and dense bone structure and Aladdin is exceptional for any breeding program.
Aladdin is a son of the late 5Peruvian Royal Inca Legend. Inca Legend is known for throwing incredible greys and blacks and his offspring are well known as winners in the show ring. In addition, Aladdin is the half brother to Legend’s Challenger of KPR (Boomer) and has almost identical histogram and fiber statistics. Their skin biopsies are within 1-2% and the type of crimp and fleece they throw is almost identical.
Aladdin is the ticket for dark from dark brown through black (over 60% of the time he darkens the dam and 80% of the time it is either the same or darker than dam). If you breed white or beige, all have been fawn or darker (55% fawn, 11% Brown, 11% Grey, 22% BB).
Grey Mist would be a great addition to any herd and continues to produce offspring with great conformation, coverage, density, and outstanding fiber characteristics.
Description
He is a beautiful dark rose grey with a friendly personality and a good square conformation. He has a typey head and looks like a teddy bear. Ramsey has a dense fleece that is soft. He would make a great addition as a member of the herd and contribution to fiber products.
