This boy is maintaining his fineness into his 5th year and beyond! At 5 years, 21.4 microns, rare for a grey!
We are committed to keeping our breeding fees affordable for the smaller farm. Therefore our customers are able to enjoy much lower fees than that which are normally available, yet still get top quality breedings.
From Highland Alpaca:
We named him "Crown Prince" for a reason. Out of our black AOBA Reserve Color Champion, Boadicea, he has the fiber and conformation to make heads turn. His dam Boadicea was the queen of the show circuit in 2000 with folks waiting at the ring to purchase her as she won yet another blue ribbon. We made the decision to keep her as part of our foundation stock. She has rewarded that decision time and time again with Champion cria. Dam to four cria with multiple Blue ribbons and Banners, she is just as important to Crown Prince's genetics as his famous sire, Snowmass Peruvian Casanova.
Crown Prince has combined the best of his dam and sire to be an example of the fineness, density, crimp, and conformation. As a mature male he added a blue ribbon from the highly regarded Ohio Alpacafest and a Reserve Color Championship from 2009 PAOBA Breeders Showcase. We believe that he is certainly one of the finest Peruvian gray males on the East Coast.
Crown Prince has many cria on the ground...80% black or gray...all looking like they are destined to challenge his outstanding show career. Several cria are already blue ribbon winners at large shows and three of them have banners to their name! Crown's 2010 histogram numbers indicate his "lingering fineness" with an AFD of 20.3. Not bad for a four year old. Crown's real value is revealed in his ability to produce show quality cria...consistently...in black and gray.

Dam: Chieftain’s Peruvian Kenosha ARI#
31770248 Dark Brown Kenosha is a product of Chieftain and an “elegant” black dam who is a National blue ribbon winner and has Black Mesquite and Cperuvian Silvio in her background. That's blue ribbon genetics on both sides of her ARI! Kenosha's fiber is a rich brown color...almost mahogany...with black tips on her ears. Beautifully soft fiber with crimp from skin to tips demonstrate the effect of good breeding. We believe that Kenosha is an excellent candidate for a black or gray herdsire. She made a strong showing so far with the judges. With a 3rd place at MAPACA, and a blue ribbon from VAOBA, we think she is the kind of quality a farm should be selecting for their foundation herd. Kenosha’s first breeding is to Casanova's Peruvian Crown Prince. Her dam bred to Crown gave us a beautiful gray female...Crown's Silver Chalice. Bet this one will be a rose gray...or a beautiful black...full Peruvian...and who cares if it's a boy or a girl with these kind of fiber stats and genetics!
Kenosha has proven to be an excellent producer with 2 ribbon winning offspring to her credit so far. Her 1st cria, Crown's Jewel, took Blue at both AOA Nationals and the MABA Alpaca Celebration.
Her second offspring, ODF Magic's Bewitched, , took a second in her first showing at MAPACA Jubilee.
2 female offspring, one silver gray, one bay black, both placing well in the showring.
Her third offspring is an incredible Silver Gray male sired by none other than A Paca Fun's Super Sonic.
Description
Jewel is the best companion alpaca with mothering/babysitting instincts for other crias and always on watch over everyone. Her fiber is a beautiful MSG and continues to make lovely yarns and rovings.
Our beautiful Jewel gave us one female cria, Sonic Whisper 'Spur', that changed the course of our breeding program. It was a dystocia birth that created a scarred cervix so she cannot hold a pregnancy.
FROM FRONT TO REAR, JEWEL BRINGS A STUNNING PRESENCE. SHE IS ALWAYS IS SHOW STANCE EVEN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE FIELD.
SHE HAS A LOVELY, SQUARE CONFORMATION.
STRONG-BONED
VERY NICE, STRAIGHT STANCE IN FRONT AND REAR
GREAT DENSITY
