Grey Female with Fawn Male at Side
Storybook's Peruvian Wynken
Huacaya, Female, Proven | Dark Silver Grey
ARI# 32283129, D.O.B. 9/21/2013, Full Peruvian
Sire: Storybook's Peruvian Manifestation ARI#
30800694 Light Silver Grey Manifestation was such an awesome cria that we had to give him a name he would grow into - and boy has he grown into it! "Does he have any dates yet? Because he should!" commented Kevin O'Leary at 2012 Nationals. "He grew up, but his micron didn't," was only one of the enthusiastic comments from Wade Gease at the 2012 Buckeye Show. Amanda VandenBosch presented his 2013 Best of the U.S. Blue commenting, "He's cool and he knows it!" Manifestation has also won Blue under Nick Harrington-Smith and Jill MacLeod. His amazing bone, incredible presence, and awesome head is set off by a soft, dense, crimpy, luscious fleece you would never expect to see in grey and with very few spots except the beautiful brown heart he wears. Manifestation's staples are so consistent you can barely tell the cut end from the tip and carry a wonderful hand, all evidenced by his 2012 Nationals Spin-Off Blue Ribbon. To top it all off, Mani has a gentle personality and is just plain cute! Confirming his genetics, his sister, Storybook Princess, took National Champion in 2012 after many other Blues and Championships. His dam has been a fantastic mom who our vet refers to as a "milk cow."
While the heritage of an alpaca may not be as critical as the fleece it produces, Manifestation’s pure Peruvian bloodlines provide a special niche if you want to stand out from the crowd. He is the only known full Peruvian grey Huacaya male to have taken Championships in three consecutive years (2011 - 2013) still taking blue at 2014 Nationals and Reserve Champion in 2015 Best of the US at almost 5 years old.
Dam: PLF Peruvian Sunshine ARI#
1217841 Light Fawn Sunshine stands one of the proudest animals in our pasture. As you drive up the lane, one of the first things you’ll see is the striking fawn, always ready to lead the way. She’s the curious girl and has a correct and pleasing confirmation to go with a very dense fleece. Sunshine has shown her impressive motherly instincts well. She has shown us just what textbook births are like, is a great milk producer, and a very attentive mom.
Service Sire: A and A & MFI Quixotic ARI#
32166620 Medium Silver Grey We are proud to own and open up this incredible herdsire for a limited number of breedings.
Quixotic’s dam, Starry Night’s Quetzal, was purchased at the prestigious 2008 All American Alpaca Futurity. To say that this dam is impressive is an understatement. She was a gorgeous dark silver grey female with incredible fleece character and rare density. Quixotic’s dam was bred to Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah the first year and the result was the famous multiple champion A & A and MFI Quatrain purchased by Coffee Pot, Whistler’s Glen, Applewood Farm and Tangled Oaks at the 2010 Breeders Choice Auction. The second year she was bred Jeremiah’s paternal brother MFI Peruvian Formula 1, co-owned by Magical Farms and Flying Pony Alpacas and the result was A and A & MFI Quixotic!!
Quixotic is phenotypically gorgeous and his fleece is outstanding. As a very young juvenile his fleece won First Place and Grey Male Color Champion at the 2011 AOBA National Fleece Show…an amazing accomplishment for a juvenile grey fleece. Quixotic's crias hit the ground for us starting in 2015 and we have been thrilled at what he is adding to our program here! Several of his offspring have been out and about in the showring and have earned top awards at several highly competitive shows, earning both champions and Judges’ Choice awards. Cloverleaf Alpacas Man of Steel is just one example of the quality we are seeing in Quixotic’s offspring and he is a true standout in the greys, earning top awards at every show he is in!
Quixotic's crias have continued to wow and impress even the most discriminating buyers and breeders...and judges! His crias are outstandings!
