32314304 Beige Meet the crown prince of CCNF. Show record aside, at the time he was born, Elixir was probably the best male alpaca our breeding program had produced in 16 years. Good thing too, as he and his paternal siblings had some mighty big shoes that we were asking them to fill in the years ahead. The son of three time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Elite Legend, and our multi-Champion Archangel daughter, CCNF Ascension, Elixir when conceived as a concept on paper was supposed to be good. We just had no idea that the stars were going to align quite as nicely as they did. The fleece fineness and phenotype of his maternal line combined with the other-worldly density and uniformity he got from his sire are virtually unmatched here, perhaps only by his younger maternal brother, CCNF Centurion.
In Denver last summer, the 2015 AOA National Fleece Show essentially turned into Elixir's official coming out party as a proven Herdsire. He not only won the Champion Light Male and Judges' Choice Huacaya Male himself but more importantly, four of his offspring (CCNF Spittfire, CCNF Dropshot, CCNF Antares, and CCNF True Adoration) won Championship banners as well, leading to a championship sweep of both the Light and White Male color groups. Not too shabby for his first batch of kids.
Of course one of the things we love about our boy, is that he can be bred to both light and dark females with equally exciting outcomes (Elixir is a classic dorsal beige). In fact, throughout the 2014 & 2015 birthing season, he threw everything from whites to browns, all extremely bright and fine. If you have any doubts as to the prowess of this world-class Herdsire, you need only spend 10 minutes or so walking down the line of our 2016 show pens.
Elixir stands at stud here at CCNF from July 1st through October 1st before moving back to our partners' farm in Maryland for the fall season. As of July 1st, 2016 CCNF Elixir was closed for all future outside stud service.

Description
Though we never like it when circumstances force us to scratch an animal we have already consigned to auction, we are fortunate to be in a position to offer something equally as special as a substitute. Coming right out of our spring 2017 show string, CCNF Adanna is the daughter of two Futurity Champions: our all-world Herdsire, CCNF Elixir, and her bay black dam, CCNF Tanzania. As a debutante on our show roster, she won 2 blue ribbons this past April at the Futurity and the North American Alpaca Show where she was also the Reserve Champion Fawn Female!
Adanna in fact has the rather unique distinction of suddenly being the first Elixir daughter we have ever consigned to auction. Buy her, show her (she almost certainly would have come back out with us in the fall of 2017 had she stayed here), and then when she is ready to be bred in the spring/summer of 2018, send her back to us for a complimentary breeding to *any* CCNF owned Herdsire. We would of course recommend breeding her with our 2-time Futurity Herdsire of the Year, Snowmass Matrix Majesty but that choice will ultimately be a lovely dilemma for her new owners to have. Regardless, Adanna will of course sell with our full reproductive guarantees!
