When we decided to add a black herdsire to our lineup, we knew that Black Warrior was the boy we wanted. He is the full package, beautiful typey head, fleece that rivals light color fleece and genetics that are spectacular and new to our herd. We hope to be able to continue on with our friend Alan's plan for this fine young male. We are truly impressed with his lack of guard hair and density in his true black fleece. We are looking forward to putting some color into our herd.

Love this male! He is a true multi-generational blue black. His first offspring have arrived and we are in love! Wolfgang is an outstanding male, the heir apparent to his sire Kodiak. Everything we could have hoped for, uniformity of micron, bundling high frequency architecture, blue black color, excellent handle, and outstanding conformation. Color genotype for Wolfgang is EEa1a3. Having an a3 allele has proven consistently to produce that rich blue-black in our herd. It is being passed through multiple generations and they are non-fading true blacks. No dilution and carries both black alleles. It will be very unlikely that he would produce light offspring and all offspring will cover black. We are excited to have this information to assist in our breeding decisions.
