Sire: Tikanui (Pucara Puresuri Tikanui) ARI#
32079616 White Tikanui, sired by the one and only Pucara Kahuna, has simply stunning fiber - white, lustrous, dense, with outstanding lock structure. And fine! At first shearing...20.9 micron!!
Tikanui exemplifies the Suri phenotype. Indeed, Tikanui was even bestowed the special "best head" award by Don Julio Barreda's daughter Elena at the 2012 Futurity Show! He went on to win Reserve Color Champion at the 2012 Futurity. And, at over two years of age and 10 months of fleece growth since shearing, Tikanui won Color Champion at The 2013 Futurity, competing against other first rate, full-fleeced whites. His progeny have represented him in Get of Sire competitions and consistently strong representatives of their sire.
Tikanui is consistently in the top 1% of EPDs. He was classified during out 2017 SHIP classification and received top scores for conformation traits, and amazingly high scores for all fleece characteristics.
Not only is Tikanui spectacular to look at, he is a gentle guy, always easy to work with and a joy to be around! His progeny are doing fabulous things in the show ring and with their own offspring. Tikanui was the 2015 and 2017 Futurity Light Herdsire of the Year, and is the 2018 Herdsire of the Year. Tikanui's Zen of Harmony won Judge's Choice at the 2017 MOPACA show and at the 2017 Futurity and his daughter Venus won Supreme Light Championship at the 2018 National Show. Many championship offspring with super fleece statistics. Wow!
Dam: Silk (Pro's Silk N Acclaim of Pines Edge)_deleted_2/10/2024 6:27:37 PM ARI#
1423969 White Silk N Acclaim was an outstanding female sired by champion Peruvian Protocol. She has excellent conformation marked by strong bone, level top line, and a typey Suri head. Her fleece is dense and well locked with glowing luster. Silk was 1st and white Color Champion at the 2006 Denver, Great Western Alpaca Show.
Silk's dam, Elvira, a Fuego daughter, consistently produced color including black. Silk's first cria, born in 2007, is the 3 time Champion, Peruvian Wyldfyre. Her 2009 cria, sired by Accoyo DaVinci, is a beautiful female, Sheer Delight, with bright, bright luster who was MOPACA champion.
Silk died as a result of complications during birthing in 2019. She was a terrific producer and a wonderful mother, and we will miss her in our breeding program.
Description
Glorious... that is the feeling you have when touching Glory's fiber. It is the softest imaginable. She is a beautiful Tikanui daughter, with Silk N Acclaim as her mom. She clearly gets the best traits from both parents.
