Sire: 5C's Contender ARI#
32401738 True Black
Contender------the son of our Cereza Negra and our Cascade of Sparks was one of those crias that you just know is special. Cereza has never disappointed us with the quality of her offspring, and the trend has certainly continued. This beautiful black male has one of the most consistent fleeces I have ever seen. His fleece is the same even down his legs and onto his belly. Beautiful true black fleece that is fine, with brilliant shine, impressive staple length and consistent crimp across his body. His frame is solid and strong. All traits we seek in our herdsires.
This beautiful male is the first cria from our Cascade. This is proof that show wins are not the only thing to consider when choosing breedings. Cascade did well in the showring, despite a tender fleece. We knew he had the characteristics we wanted so we allowed him to prove he could pass those traits on. He has done just that and has earned the right to prove it again and again.
Contender entered his first show at the age of 7 months and was awarded a blue ribbon in a class of 11 black juvenile males. He continued the trend by taking the Res. Champion banner. We knew he was nice, but it is wonderful to have his attributes confirmed by a respected judge, Amanda Vandenbosch. Contender followed that with a 2nd place at the highly competitive MAPACA and a blue at PAOBA. The judge strongly considered Contender for a banner at PAOBA and raved about his potential during his remarks.
Fall 2013, Contender won the Blue in a very competitive class of 15 black males. Kevin O'Leary sent him forward immediately after evaluating Contender and only halfway through the class.
Contender WINS First and Reserve Champion in fleece at the 2014 AOA/World Fleece Show. He also placed 2nd in an extremely competitive halter class of 15. Many of the males in this class were multi-champion males themselves.
Another win for Contender. In a very competitive black class, Contender won blue and then went on to be awarded the Res Champ Black Male at Empire Extravaganza 2014.
Dam: 5C's Cuvee ARI#
32035674 Dark Fawn Cuvee was a wonderful surprise as the first cria we have from our "T.C." (One of the last Vengador sons). We wanted to see if T.C. could produce color so we bred him to Chiraz. Chiraz is a brown Shaquillie daughter who also produced our Champion black herdsire, Chill Factor. Cuvee's beautiful fawn fleece is one of the finest we have ever produced at 15.6 micron. Her fleece is not only fine, but dense, consistent and exhibits amazing brightness. Cuvee's first show was only shorn classes, where she won blue for her beautiful, solid conformation. While evaluating Cuvee in the ring, the judge admitted that he couldn't stop himself from examining her incredibly fine fleece (though it was a shorn class) once he touched it. The brilliance in Cuvee's fleece is the icing on the cake.
Cuvee's solid conformation and beautiful fleece are a great foundation for her future offspring. Her first cria is sired by our 6X Black Champion Contender. The result is a female who is the beautiful combination of both parents in the same color as Cuvee. See Cevanna's own listing. Cuvee has all the right components to be a terrific foundation in any breeding program.
Cuvee is currently open. Purchase her and you get to choose her mate!!! Go right back to Contender or switch it up with Captain Midnight. One of our up and coming grey males Chicago or Blue Monte would be a great choice as well.
Service Sire: 5C's Cryptonite ARI#
35476146 True Black Due Date: 4/23/2023 *****UPDATE*****
Cryptonite was sold but, due to an unforeseen situation, he has ended up back at Cinco C's Alpacas. We sold him because we had his genetics covered. He's now proven and has some pretty stunning crias on the ground. If you are looking for a beautiful black herdsire you really should consider Cryptonite. Contact us for fleece samples and to find out his unbelievable price.
He's a beauty!! Black Black Black!!! No fading on this guy. Cryptonite has a nice solid frame with lots of consistent black fleece. There are no lack of Champions in this males background and most are black and grey. Cryptonite's sire, 8x Champion Greytness, is now breeding in Denmark and is no longer available for breeding in the US. There are only a few of these males and they're great ones.

Cevanna's sire is our multi-champion black 5C's Contender. To say we are pleased with this female is an understatement. Her fleece is fine, dense and consistent and she wears it on a very solid frame.
She has been a great mother and is currently bred to a black male who is about to leave for Canada. She's due soon so don't wait. The price will increase very soon.
