Huacaya, Female, Proven | Medium Rose Grey
ARI# 32135428, D.O.B. 7/13/2011,
Sire: Invincible's White Satin Knight ARI#
31073301 White Snowmass Invincible and our own Princess Leah criated this absolutely handsome male - Invincible's White Satin Knight. He was as cute as a little stuffed alpaca when he was born. He had this really really funky topknot, which then sparked his nickname "Funky White Boy". In addition, we decided to give him a nice name that would serve him well as a herdsire. But to us, and all of our friends, he is Funky White Boy.
His first show out - he was cantankerous and surly - but he still managed to get a 2nd. He has a tendency to be ribboned in every show he's appeared in. And for us - and we are proud to say we are primarily grey breeders, so having a white that was winning ribbons was pretty amazing. People started talking about how good he really was, and how we should watch and see how he does as he grows older.
We were thrilled to see that the older he got, the better he got. He took 1st at SEPA, followed by a color championship! At a very tough show in Maryland he took 3rd, followed by 1st again at the NJ Show! And as he walked into the ring I was stunned by how he had come into himself. Truly a herdsire, deserving to be in that ring. He went on to take a Reserve Championship. Wade Geese remarked that his fleece was the fleece of a juvie.
We ended up showing him through 2010, he went on to win 3 championships and then we couldn't wait any longer to breed him.
he has been criating some very nice alpacas! Can't help but love our Funky!!
Dam: Princess Valorie ARI#
1178043 True Black Princess Valorie is ready to add exceptional color to you herd! This true black beauty has given us two true black female crias and comes from a long lineage of true black ancestors. On her sire's side she boasts the dark silver gray of her grandsire 6Peruvian Dom Timbo (currently standing at Magical Farms). Her dam, Patagonia's Lucia, is a also a true black from her true black Sire, Shackleton, a top herdsire at Patagonia Farms.
Valorie was shown at the Southeastern Pennsylvania Alpaca Show & Sale in 2006 and placed 2nd in a competitive class of 11 alpacas! "Valorie is conformationally correct with very soft fleece with consistant crimp throughout."
Valorie is a great mom who births easily and produces lots of milk for her crias. She has a gentle nature that she passes on to to her crias. Her first two crias are by Snowmass Midnight Magic and they are all we had hoped for when we bred her to this elite black herdsire, but we decided to shake things up a bit this time and last season she was bred to Grand Champion Invincible's White Satin Knight aka Funky White Boy and she gave us a stunning fawn girl that may be turning rose gray!! Whimsy's Invincible Knightingale delighted us by taking 2 third place ribbons in both Halter and Fleece at Empire in the very competitive fawn category. That's 3 for 3 for Val and these 3 have some of the softest, finest fiber in our herd.
