Chill Factor Daughter
5C's Cadmium
Huacaya, Female, Unproven | Medium Brown
ARI# 32524796, D.O.B. 6/15/2013, 1/2 Peruvian, 1/2 Chilean
Sire: 5C's Chill Factor ARI#
31342018 True Black Chill Factor was born on a frosty March morning when the mercury was barely visible. -17 with the wind chill factor earned this guy his name. It wasn't the cold but great genetics that gave him his beautiful fleece. The fleece, although black not the anticipated grey, is quite simply STUNNING!!!! The architecture in this dense bight fleece is just what Challenger of KPR is known to produce. The fleece and the conformation and calm, friendly disposition came together perfectly in this male package. The judges agree that he belongs at the top of the class.
Chill Factor first crias are on the ground!!!! We have two males from Chili and they look great!! One is brown from a black dam, the other black from a brown dam. Both these boys are very solidly built with great bone structure and solid, well conformed frames. The fleeces are quite fine, very dense and exhibit Chill Factor's incredible lustre.
Well, Chili surprised us with another son Cirocco. Cirocco has done extremely well in the showring as a beige male. Amazingly bright and consistent fleece on a beautiful solid frame has served him well.

CONGRATULATIONS to Sue and Mike Bean of A Slice of Heaven Alpacas for their purchase of 1/2 interest in Chill Factor.
Dam: 5C's Cadia ARI#
31754996 Medium Brown Another beauty from Champagne Toast and Capital Punishment. This female's micron report proved that we were right about her fineness. Her 15.7 AFD with 0.4> 30 (2011) makes hers one of the finest colored fleeces on our farm. This is not a total surprise since her sire seems to pass that on to his crias and the dam is no slouch in the fineness department either. Cadia's yearling (2012 --16.5 AFD with 0.4>30) fiber stats haven't changed much at all.
Cadia's first cria is a beautiful brown female with the fineness and density of her mother and she has been sold.
Cierra (Cadia's 2016 cria sired by Captain Midnight) hit the ground running on June 4th. With beautiful bone and a promising fleece that possesses great density we are loving this little girl.
For her 2017 cria we have opted to use Contender, another black banner winner. This cria is due in September and we are quite excited about this combination.
Service Sire: LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight ARI#
31160254 True Black Due Date: 6/17/2017 With the retirement of Magical Farms we had an opportunity to purchase interest in this amazing male. We have one of his sons who has won 6 Championships to date. Why would we want Black Midnight too? Our Captain Midnight is from one of our favorite bloodlines. We have several females who are related to Captain, but not to Black Midnight. Do we want more Captain Midnights? You bet!!!! Call us to book your breeding to Black Midnight. See the description and accolades of this outstanding male below.
With a pedigree that could knock off anyone's socks, LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight has the fleece to match!
His dam is Libby Forstner's famous 16-time champion black female champion LMFI Peruvian Black Pearl. His sire is MFI Peruvian Jericho, sire of the famous Majestic Peruvian Jeremiah. Jericho's offspring have won over 420 ribbons and over 120 championships and Jeremiah is just one of them.
Black Midnight has a highly-advanced black fleece with excellent density and outstanding fleece character. The only problem with Black Midnight is that he hates to show. At his first show, he surprised us by dragging his back leg as soon as he entered the show ring. In spite of that he earned third place at the Futurity because of his outstanding fleece. After the class, he trotted happily back to his pen, his leg just fine! At his second show, he continued the same antics, only this time dragging his other back foot and again, he was fine after the class. At his third show, he abandoned the leg-dragging tactic and instead chose the tactic of falling over in the show ring. In spite of this behavior, he won the Black Male Reserve Color Championship. At his fourth show, he decided that jumping straight up into the air and landing on his back would be great fun... and in spite of that won Black Male Reserve Color Champion again.
His show antics do not take away from the fact that he has an incredible black fleece and excellent conformation. With his advanced fle
Description
Cadmium is a rich medium brown female from our black champion Chill Factor. She is the daughter of our amazingly fine Cadia (Silvio and Black Mesquite lines) and Chill Factor (Challenger of KPR son). With lots of black and grey in her background we thought she would be a great female to breed to any of our black champion herdsires. She slipped her pregnancy to Black Midnight for June 2017 so if you buy her soon you can choose her service sire.
