Futurity Judges Choice video.
Chakotah in 2011 had a son win four Judges Choice awards, (Pucara) Chakotah's Wyuna, and a daughter, Buzz n Hum Layla who won GWAS 2011 Judges Choice. Chakotah ALSO won the Nationals and GWAS Get classes with our Pucara Kahuna, his grandfather, in second both times. His cria won championships and ribbons in many shows all over the country.
When we first started our alpaca farm here in the US the first sale we made of our own suris was to Ann and Bill Rogers at CCR Alpacas.
We asked Ann and Bill if they would let us know when one of those girl's, Kalina, had her cria and we would consider purchasing it. As it turned out they decided to send Kalina along with several of our own females to be bred to Moon River's Durango, at our sincere urging!!! Jude and I adored Durango. He was a stand out in the show ring winning a championship in all his shows but more importantly to us he had exquisite genetics. Those breedings produced two national Champions for us and several ribbon winners.
When Kalina gave birth Ann excitedly called us and raved about the cria. Well we know owners get a bit barn blind about their animals so we asked for pics....man oh man, he looked fabulous. We visited CCR Alpacas soon thereafter and purchased a half share of this boy, Chakotah....at two months of age!!! It's insane, the first time we have been so bold but in the flesh he even looked better than the pics.
The Kahuna daughter, Kalina, had produced a knockout cria.
Chakotah's performance in the show ring has been exemplary. He exhibits extreme greasy luster, super silky handle, density in thick well defined locks from one end of his sturdy frame to the other and fineness. All with a proud masculine head on a well balanced body. As a mature male his frame is magnificent. Everything a stud male suri should be approaching 10 years of age - head style, frame, chest capacity, and above all great libido and fertility.
Was this to be expected from the intial breeding. We hoped so because it was the marriage of genetics from Peruvian Bruxo, Peruvian Uribe, Peruvian Augustina (McGyver's mom), Pperuvian Amador and Peruvian Cadete (Accoyo foundation herdsires of our female herd), Pucara Kahuna and Pucara Allegro who had 37 championship winning cria in Australia of which 17 won Best in Show! The odds were stacked in our favor and are now stacked in yours because there is little room for deviation of outcome with this punch of prepotence. If you have a good female you'll get a great cria with this breeding.
Chakotah kids have been wowing them all over the country. They have won championships and Judges Choice Awards in strong company !!! We think he is turning out to be every bit as good if not better than his grandfather Kahuna! The show kids have won championships in both color a
Dam: LCA Inca's Lace ARI#
1259629 White DONOR FEMALE FOR THE PUCARA/HASSELBRING TSSS ET PROGRAM.
TSSS (The Suri Stud Stable) is co-owned with Britt and Patty from Hasselbring Harmony Ranch.
When our original partners at Sur-Real purchased this girl on our recommendation this was the write up:
"A champion pedigree combined with a champion show record! Her sire Inca needs no introduction. Inca's Lace's dam, 5 Peruvian Laquita, has produced 3 daughters. All three have been blue ribbon winners, including Inca's Lace who placed first at both the AWE and MAPACA shows. She was awarded the reserve champion as a juvenile at the large and competitive 2006 AWE show. Laquita's first two female offspring have remained in our herd as two of our best foundation females. Lace's fleece is typical Inca, characterized as fine, soft, and highly lustrous. Don't miss this opportunity to purchase the only Inca daughter we are able to offer at this year's Parade of Champions Auction."
Inca's Lace has had a succession of beautiful offspring here the likes of Pucara Sur-Real Kahala purchased by David and Lori at Shamrock at the Prestige Auction 2009. She has gone on to be mother of Chakotah's Shamrock of Pucara who is a fawn ribbon winner and maker of a gorgeous Kahuna fawn Clover who in 2014 rocked in the show ring. We've been really pleased with gems like Kahuna's Inca in 2012 that we are reserving for our stud pen. He shines like the sun when you open up his well organized fleece. Its thick with density and has such a buttery handle. Lace's 2014 daughter, TSSS Tikanui's Britannia, is off to the UK purchased by one of the UK's most discerning suri breeders, CS Alpacas.
In 2016 Lace produced a dark fawn male Chakotah's Tully. Her 2016 cria sired by TSSS Chakotah's Binalong is dark fawn and wonderful. Dense, high luster and fine. After a break from breeding she gave us yet another female, TSSS Red's Lace in 2018, this time beige.
Excellent fertility with the proven ability to produce color, Inca's Lace is a true foundation female.
Service Sire: Astor of Harmony ARI#
35082316 White Due Date: 8/25/2024 Astor - son of Makani and Andretti, grandson of Our Accoyo Pulitzer and Pucara Kahuna. Genetics genetics, genetics!
What can we say about Astor? He is well-built, with great conformation. His fiber is beautifully fine and uniform. Great density, and luscious handle. His EPDs for 2022 are in the top 1% or 5% for nearly every trait.
Great conformation, great fiber, and on top of it all, Astor is super friendly and easy to work with!
We sheared Astor in 2017, and then he joined our show string. He ended his outstanding show career with a Championship at the 2018 Futurity, as a previously shorn boy! Oodles of fleece, outstanding fineness, and excellent regrowth!

Description
Talk about curb appeal!
Lace is the prototypical example of the Suri ideal type. Gorgeous head, stellar frame, beautiful soft silky fleece and she should be that good, after all she's the daughter of Chakotah and LCA Incas Lace. Chakotah was two times Futurity Dark Herd Sire of the year (and one time Reserve!) and the sire of 4 time Judges Choice winner, Chakotah's Wyuna and 5 time Judges Choice winner Chakotah's Midas.
The ribbon winning dam, Incas Lace, brings the incredibly dominant white genetics of the acclaimed Inca. When they meet with the power of Pucara Kahuna and Moon Rivers Peruvian Durango, through Chakotah, something incredible happens. And it certainly did!
We are awestruck sometimes when we see how beautifully she has matured. Her luster, her sweet personality, and her genetics make her a fabulous pick for anyone's high quality herd.
Chakotah's Lace is a TSSS (Suri Stud Stable) girl, co-owned by Pucara International and Hasselbring's Harmony Ranch.
