His kids still win big in the ring...2016 Gold Country Gathering KC son won RCC behind our own RR Dizzy Gillespie in Grey Male and KC daughter won Color Championship, grey female AND KC son won Black Color Championship (RR Lancelot)
KC took his first championship at 8 months of age. Since then, his fleece has maintained its length and fineness and he remains one of the best grey males in the country.
If you have a look at his Watt follicle testing results, the reasons will be obvious. The mix of black and white fibers in his grey is homogeneous in micron. He is the only alpaca, male or female, that carries the best characteristics of the Snowmass Peruvian Casanova and Guns n Roses lines. His production has not disappointed with multiple championships among his offspring.
His follicle density testing by Ian Watt is outstanding at his sampling at 2 years of age:
Density: 57.9mm/mm2
Seconday: Primary fiber ratio: 9.8:1
In-skin primary fiber diameter: 22.3 micron SD 3.2
In-skin secondary fiber micron: 13.7 micron SD 2.5
Comments:
"High density coupled with an excellent set of numbers for the secondary fiber population give this male potential as a significant sire in his color group. a group not known for its uniformity within each fiber population.
This is a significant animal for silver grey alpacas, where the black fibers tend to be very strong in micron and vary across the staple in most alpacas of this colour"

Dam: RR MIDNIGHT KISS - SOLD ARI#
31620307 True Black Midnight Kiss has been a consistent producer of quality cria. She is our own Midnight Sun's first offspring and when we dialed in for a true black female out of a light fawn/recessive black male, we didn't even have to specify outstandingly promising superbright, superfine non fading, boldly and uniformly defined fiber.
BIOPSY RESULTS! 12/24/2012
Density: 58.6/mm
Secondary:Primary fiber ratio: 11.7:1
In-skin mean primary fiber diameter: 25.4 µ Standard Deviation: 2.9 µ Range: 20.7 µ to 31.0 µ
In-skin mean secondary fiber diameter: 18.4 µ Standard Deviation: 2.6 µ Range: 12.1 µ to 27.2 µ
Comments:
These are very good numbers for a true black female alpaca.
This is the highest testing density black female tested to date, has an excellent S:P ratio and very good SD’s for an alpaca of any color with some evidence of derived (branching) secondary follicles helping the secondary fiber population numbers across the board.
2015:Micron count: 21.3/ 4/4/ 20.4/ CF 95.7%
2014 Micron Count: 21.4/ 4.48/ 20.9/ CF 95.23
2013 Micron Count: 22.8/ 4.5/ 19.8/ CG 93.6%
For this pregnancy we have bred her to Legato Grigio, who has proven himself across our herd and established himself as a powerhouse of color genetics. We are very excited about this next cria.
Description
There's a lot to like about this youngster. He's got a well proportioned, sturdy conformation and gorgeous fleece which we have every reason to believe will hold it's fineness. Mom. Midnight Kiss, is 21.4 micron at her 4th shear, which is not appreciably different than the 20.9 at her first shear.
She also has superior biopsy stats which she comes quite naturally. Check out all his paternal aunts in black, none of which we have yet let go...and Midnight Kiss...she just made full brother RR Dante's Inferno.
Check him out and see why I wouldn't hesitate to put Cisero on grey.
(Our biopsies are listed by sire on our website)
Dad is RR Gun's Kit Carson who has infused our herd with outstanding fineness in grey and black and at 5 years of age boasts a histogram of 21.3/ 3.8/ 17.8 and CF 98.1%...not to mention 100mm length!
He's done well in the ring. He has excellent metrics in black, particularly as seen in the fiber populations in the skin biopsy and an exquisite fiber length.
Neither we, nor the judges have identified white fibers in the blanket.
He is conformationally solid.
Biopsy by Ian Watt aug/2015:
