We are pleased to add Cinders to our breeding program at Suri Peak Alpacas. He will be an excellent match for our Coal Man daughters!
With DDF Peruvian MacGyver and Accoyo Jackpot as his grandsires, Cinders is just under 40% Accoyo, and he is full Peruvian. Cinders is very lustrous with beautiful tight locks that go completely to the skin. His density is outstanding with his locks literally stacked upon each other. Cinder's fleece is also very uniform and has a very soft handle. When you consider his impressive 2009 histogram, it's no surprise. A true black suri with a comfort factor of 98.3 % is hard to find.
Conformationaly, Cinders meets all the criteria for a well proportioned and balanced suri. He is a solid built male with excellent bone density and a perfect bite. His leg coverage is so good that it literally hides his toenails. Top it all off with a gorgeous suri head, and Cinders is a suri breeder's dream come true.
2012 brought a wonderful crop of Cinders' crias. They are awesome! Most are dark and all have outstanding fleece characteristics. Cinders is passing on his excellent conformation and beautiful suri head as well. Cinders is adding density and superb leg coverage to his offspring.
2013 - Cinders' skin biopsy shows a density of 67.5 which places him in the top 2% of male suris tested by Dr. Norm Evans. Dr. Evans also states that "Cinders could certainy add fineness to most suri females."
Cinders' crias had an outstanding show at GWAS 2013. All four won 1st place, with SPAR's Mystique winning Reserve Champion. It was unfortunate there were not enough entries for the other 3 Cinders' offspring to compete in a championship.

Another beautiful Macluster daughter. LUSTER + LUSTER = More LUSTER! And that's what's Maxine's got - the fabulous luster of her sire and her dam combined. Add to that consistent locking throughout her blanket, a beautiful bearded Suri head, perfect conformation and bite, and you've got the "complete package".
A product of two championship parents, Maxine is destined to be a winner herself.
Maxine is a full sister to SPAR's Spirit of Madriene, a 9 time Champion!
Maxine's first cria was a beautiful female, SPAR's Honey Bee, out of SPAR's Accoyo Orbit. Honey Bee, a Champion and multi ribbon winner, has been sold.
Maxine gave us another female for her 2010 cria. She is beige to light fawn and a high quality suri. We have named her SPAR's Nepenthe.

Skin biopsy done in 2016. Great results - forthcoming. Please contact me if you need info prior to me posting. He should be ready for his herdsire career in late 2016 / early 2017. He wasn't quite ready in Spring 2016.
Histogram results at 21 months of age: 17.8 AFD, 4.1 SD, 23.1 CV, and 1.7>30.
Skin Biopsy Results at 3.5 years old:
Density score (64 follicles), S/P of 12.5 to 1, high gland presence (Level 3 of 4) and fineness (20.1 microns), Micron Variation of 13.2 microns. Strong points: density/S/P ratio, gland presence and fineness of secondary fibers.
This male has a very bright future as a herdsire for us. He had a 9 lb blanket with 20 months of growth. The staple length was almost 11". The shearer commented several times about the fineness of his fiber. And the density and luster was even more amazing.
His personality is very calm and pleasant, and always looks like he is smiling (Nickname is Smiley).
His head is just beautiful - pure Suri - just like his Sire (Cinders).
It is very unfortunate he was not shown in the ring due to previous owner's circumstances. However, we will be entering his fleece into various fleece shows and will post results.
