Hustler was an eagerly awaited offspring of one of Dos Donas's top Champion dams and DD Hotazel. He has turned out to be stretchy like his dam and large boned and mellow like his sire. He also has a cool slick handle, uniform locks, high luster and a great head- all on a correct frame. He had a good show career and his first cria are on the ground.

**** Update***** The biopsy results are in. We knew this guy was nice but had no idea how nice until we got his results in:
70 follicles/mm sq
S/P Ratio-7.9 to 1
Level 3 of 4 Glands
Less than 10% secondary medullation
100 Secondary Fibers Averaged 16.8 microns
50 Secondary Fibers Averaged 22.6 microns
primary to Secondary Spread 5.8 microns

A thought about density- Over the past several years, we have learned that perception of density is deceiving. We have found that the alpacas we (and the judges) believe are dense are actually not. Instead, most of them have a higher micron spread between the secondary and primary fibers. This variation seems to give a false perception of density. According to the biopsies we have seen, the most dense alpacas on our farm are turning out to be those who have a very smooth and slippery feel but don't necessarily "feel" dense. We have had a large number of alpacas on our farm biopsied after they reached maturity and have found that the very densest alpacas are never those that we (or the judges) thought were dense. Something to keep in mind when you're researching herdsires.

Ask about our multiple breeding discounts of 15% off two or 25% off 3 breedings to any of our herdsires.
Send us a champion female and we will discount the breeding 15%
