She has two 1st place ribbons!
Skyline's Layla
Huacaya, Female, Proven | Dark Rose Grey
ARI# 32269277, D.O.B. 7/21/2011, 1/2 Peruvian
Sire: MKC's Prince Jordan ARI#
1432152 Medium Rose Grey MKC’s Prince Jordan is one of those amazing alpacas that you just fall in love with the first time you see him. PJ is a 3/4 Peruvian offspring of the famous Premier’s Absolute who sold to DAFI Alpacas at the 2006 Futurity sale for $150,000. Absolute is known to put density, character and fineness on any animal. In 2005, 98% of Absolute's crias shown were winners at shows including the AOBA National and Futurity. Also in 2005, four of his female crias who were sold at auction averaged a selling price of $42,500!
PJ is no exception to this extraordinary line of outstanding Absolute crias. PJ was shown in his juvenile year placing in the most competitive shows, AWE, The Futurity, MAPACA, and AOBA Nationals, then he performed even better in his Yearling year, placing at IAO, AWE, The Futurity, MAPACA, and AOBA nationals. He took the Blue Ribbon at the Futurity!
PJ settled his first females in the fall of 2006, and in 2011, we got 6 outstanding cria from PJ. He has stamped his look on all these cria--great heads, finess and bone density! Just look at Highlander!
We will retain 3 breedings to PJ as we like what he produces!
Dam: Skyline's Jacqueline ARI#
30852891 Dark Rose Grey ****Jacqueline is now available in our listed package! Oh, and she just had her Barnabus cria! Which is included in her sale!
An outstanding addition to our herd. We purchased her mom at the Parade of Champions, bred her to Kryptonite and got what we hoped for. She is an excellent mom and we are looking forward to many of her cria!
Skyline’s Jacqueline has been one of our outstanding production females and we are only listing her for sale as we need to downsize the number of breeding females we have on our farm. We do still own her lovely daughter Skyline’s Layla, so we will continue to have her genetics on our farm. We sold one of her daughters at auction to Alpaca Palace and they liked her so much they later purchased one of her sons! Jacqueline also produced an awesome male when bred to Tronador, so much so that the owners of Tronador wanted to purchase him! We traded him for 2 more breedings to Tronador! There are other beautiful offspring we’ve been able to sell too!
It is no surprise that Jacqueline is such a great producer! Her Dam is Crescent Moon’s Jackie that we purchased at auction and her sire is Crescent Moon’s Kryptonite a famous Legacy son! We have never been disappointed with Jacqueline, but with her daughter Layla and her grandchildren in our herd and our need to downsize, we have made the tough decision to list her for sale.
We have now rebreed Jacqueline to Barnabus and so far it has been a successful breeding! We are excited for this cria but we are still leaving her for sale!

Her 2021 cria is a beautiful black male! He was born 6/20/21. On 3/25/19, Layla delivered a gorgeous very light grey boy. He is super cute and so friendly with us! We named him Cupid!
9/30/17 Layla delivered the most gorgeous grey boy cria! We are thrilled! He is very fine and well conformed. He looks Rose grey, but when you open up his fleece, he could be Silver. We hope to get him cria shorn soon. We will keep this boy! Check out our new cria's picture below! He is a special guy. We named him Maverick
***NEWS FLASH. Layla's 2015 light Silver Grey cria Skyline's EZ Duzzit that we sold to Heart & Soul Alpacas just went on to win Male Grey Color Champion at the 2017 CABA Classic. Congratulations! We actually recently just purchased him back!
2X Blue Ribbon-Winner, Skyline’s Layla, was just what we were looking for when we bred one of our best females, Jacqueline, to our impressive Rose Grey Herdsire, Prince Jordan. It was a perfect match! Jacqueline, a modern Rose Grey, has beautiful soft fleece that has kept its fineness over the years. She had a 22.8-micron and a 17.7-CV at three years of age. Jacqueline is a Kryptonite daughter and has Legacy, Roosevelt and Mr. Know it All in her background. Prince Jordan, Layla’s sire, was our Futurity, Blue Ribbon-Winning, Premier Absolute son that adds fiber density as well as outstanding conformation to all his offspring.
With that background it was no surprise that Layla joined our show circuit in 2012 and she did not disappoint. She took a blue ribbon at her first show, Alpacapalooza, where she showed as a Modern Rose Grey. Then she took another Blue at CABA later in the spring, in an Indefinite class. Layla’s fleece is fine, soft and exhibits a high frequency crimp along the full length of her staple that divides into nice little bundles.
For Layla's 1st breeding we sent her out to Ohio for a date with Jumanji, we got a gorgeous dark fawn boy out of that pairing. Then we bred her to Enlightened and got an amazing LSG boy. Both of these boys we were able to sell, no problem. Karen Ball purchased the Enlightened boy and he went on to win some impressive ribbons!
For her 2017 cria we have bred her to Skyline's Lightning strike. We are hoping for an impressive grey this time too. And we got it!!!!
