My Favorite alpaca!!!! We spotted this young male at the AOBA conference and were immediately intrigued by what we saw. Bevo is what is referred to as "The Total Package" and five separate judges have mentioned just that. He has incredible density and coverage, and tons of character in his soft-handling fleece. His large boned yet compact frame make a second look common. Under the term "alpaca phenotype" you just might find a picture of Bevo. When we teach people about conformation, we use Bevo as the example. These characteristics are all a must for any breeding program. Bevo's calm, confident, gentle personality just add to his total appeal. Although Bevo has won in both bay black and dark indefinite classes; his lineage of silver gray, true black, brown, fawn and beige from Chile, Bolivia and Peru shine in this package of diversity. We have bred him to females of a broad spectrum of colors to find his true identity. His first cria have arrived and they are truly amazing. They all have his heavy bone and perfect conformation (see Photo)The fleeces are very dense, very fine, with brightness and in the majority of his crias the color of the dam. The colors range from light fawn to true black. Of the offspring on our farm, the highest AFD of fleece was 19.0. We think that's pretty remarkable. Bevo's famous mid-western sire Providence Rennes, is the multiple blue ribbon winning, half-brother of Dom Lucilio. And Bevo's mother is out of Desparado, a blue ribbon winner at both AOBA and MAPACA. These are fantastic and uniquely crossed bloodlines now available in Pennsylvania. At age 8 Bevo's fleece is still fine and exhibits beautiful structure and he continues to amaze our shearer with his density. Callia is the beautiful rose grey daughter of one of our favorite girls. She did well in her show career, but is doing a superb job as a production female. Callia boasts the bloodlines of DomTimbo, Valeroso, and Mr. President. She is a robust female who is a great breeder and dam. Callia is pictured with her beautiful black daughter Cayleigh who has been sold. We have now sold another of Callia's daughters. 8/18/2019 Callia just delivered a beautiful silver grey female sired by Zephyrson. We just LOVE this little girl. We have aptly named her Cutie Patootie. She's small but she's mighty. Cutie lead the evening pronk at 4 days of age. Watch for updates. Greytness is maturing beautifully. This gorgeous yearling male is definitely the REAL DEAL. Greytness' stunning phenotype is eclipsed only by his wonderful fleece. This strong male is covered from head to tail to toes with a fine, consistent DSG fleece that is remarkably dense. This male has NO visible guard hair. His calm, confident demeanor makes him a real stunner and a pleasure to show. Three different judges have awarded him the Grey Male Championship stating he was the clear winner.
