PERUVIAN BLACK EPIC (sire)
Peruvian Black Epic has garnered over 58 championships for his prodigy and a 7X champion himself! He has been touted as being the BEST black herdsire in the USA! Black Epic puts out stunning uniformity of micron, color and type, fleece brightness and show-stopping style in his cria. Signature is no exception! We purchased Signature for exactly that and have not been disappointed.
XENA PRINCESS WARRIOR (dam)
We loved this dam so much we tried to purchase her but she was "not for sale" or otherwise know as too valuable to let go. Xena boasts an outstanding pedigree - she is a Black Hawk daughter and Accoyo Cahuide granddaughter. Cahuide who was white was infamous for producing killer white style fleece in color!
Signature is a big and bold very black male. He has fine, bright and crimpy fleece. Signature is true black from the skin to the tip all over his entire body. As fiber producers we really appreciate this quality as we have found that rare. It is the only way to get true black yarn. Most true blacks fade at the tip producing bay black fiber.
Signature has improved our herd in every color across the board helping us to achieve a more consistent fiber in both micron and style. Check out some of his cria's histogram numbers below. Description
This dark brown boy with black points is a real looker. His conformation is very nice, his bite perfect and his fleece superb. He is all you are looking for in a junior herdsire.
At his first show he took a color championship! The judges remarks were that his fleece was so uniform that you would be able to process his neck with his blanket, WOW! We have not yet done a Micron but his fleece is buttery soft. He has great staple length and a nice High frequency crimp style.
Blue Print also has a very nice temperament which is most likely passed on by his sire who is very mellow even at 4 1/2 years old.
