In 2007, Macgyver’s Balboa won National color champion and in 2008 it was Sniper. Sniper not only won the National color championship, but it was his 17th championship at AOBA sanctioned shows. Sniper made history with the most halter championships for an Alpaca under the age of 2.
Sniper is now standing stud at Pipe Creek Alpacas in Sunman IN. Like his Sire, he will produce top show quality offspring who will make their mark on the suri industry. Ask about out multiple breed discounts. We will also work with you on financing in order for you to breed to the best.
Dam: LHSA April Fools - Deceased ARI#
1309768 Bay Black As her name infers she was a super surprise. On the morning of April 1, 2005 she was born. It was 5:30 in the morning when we saw her laying in the pasture. Who looks out at their animals that early??? Every alpaca breeder that's who!
April is easy to handle, a loyal companion, and the darkest brown possible without being true black. Her AFD is 20.9. She is out of one of our top producing foundation females and one of our true black herdsires. April was always a pleasure to show.
April gave us a true black male cria "Tuscano's Massimo" (Out of Tuscano of PVA) Massimo has received 5 first place ribbons and a 2nd at the Suri Symposium Fleece show. She is now 2 for 2 giving us another show quality true black male cria, Cynister by Sniper.
Description
Macgyver’s incredible True Black boys have produced yet another show quality True Black Boy – Cynister by Sniper! In 2008 Sierra Bonita’s Peruvian Sniper was National Color Champion! Sniper not only won the National color championship, but it was his 17th championship at AOBA sanctioned shows. Sniper made history with the most halter championships for an Alpaca under the age of 2.
Cynister has both luster and density, the two most important characteristics in a true black Suri male. Cynister by Sniper was biopsied as a 4 year old. Cynister’s density is 42.75 follicles SQ MM of skin with an S/P ratio of 7.9 to 1. His secondary fibers average 30.9 microns and primary fibers average 39.7 microns for a spread of 8.8 microns. Great density!
Cynister has full coverage from head to toe. When he was shorn, our shearer slowed down and said one word… “Wow!” He averages 6-7 pounds of quality fiber each year!
Unfortunately, Cynister by Sniper, is related to too many of our Black females and so he needs a home where he could breed. We continue to use his black fleece for yarn production every year.
