Skyline's Dominique
Huacaya, Female, Unproven | Medium Silver Grey
ARI# 31613460, D.O.B. 5/13/2010, 3/4 Peruvian
Sire: ATV Silver Elation_deleted_7/12/2023 6:42:37 PM ARI#
31118149 Light Silver Grey One of Silver Elation’s yearling daughters, Sheer Heaven, achieved Grey Color Champion at the 2021 Alpaca Western Extravaganza show! Also one of his Juvenile daughters got a 2nd place in the Juv. Light Silver Grey class at the same show. Also previously many of his offspring have won blue ribbons and championships.
Silver Elation is a rare dilute silver gray with an incredibly soft, well bundled and consistent fleece without any spots. This male was born with a distinct Classic Silver Gray pattern which all but disappeared as his fiber dried. Every person who has seen him has been impressed by this amazing fleece that appears platinum in color with white in the neck, bib, face and legs.
When we took him to two very competitive shows in 2008, he was put into an indefinite class which did not allow him to show appropriately but he still won the Blue Ribbons.
Originally, I Proudly Co-Owned him with ALPACAS of Tualatin Valley! But now I completely own Silver Elation. You will get full ownership of him with this purchase!
Many of Silver Elation’s cria , have won 1st place and Gunsmoke won 1st and Reserve Color Champ at Alpacapalooza 2012 as did Sheer Heaven in 2021.at AWE.
As much as we really love Silver Elation, we do need to downsize our herd. He will be a great addition to your herd.
Oh and some sad news! Which is why I’ve reduced his cost! His knee on his back leg is hurting him and the vet that saw him thought that he could be repaired with a surgery at Oregon State vet hospital! He still has wonderful fleece so that way the $100 price is OK. If you purchase him and get his leg repaired he likely could be a good male again but I’m not completely sure! But for only $100 he is worth that for his fleece! Hope someone is interested in purchasing him! Only reason I’m willing to sell him is I have one of his wonderful males, Palladium! So I will get to keep his genetics!
Dam: L Peruvian Bay Laurel ARI#
832111 Dark Brown Bay Laurel was one of our outstanding Full Peruvian foundation females that, when bred to grey, almost always produced grey. She had a dense, rich, dark brown/mahogany fleece that still had a nice handle and good staple length for her age. Her cria have done well in the show ring, and are strong boned and healthy.
Description
Skyline’s Dominique is another outstanding grey female coming out of our breeding program. Her Sire, Silver Elation, has consistently produced crias for us that are dense as well as fine. Dominique’s recently sold Dam, Bay Laurel, is a mahogany, Silver Cesario daughter that continually gave us grey and black cria. Even at an older age Bay Laurel had a bright, soft handle fleece.
Dominique has inherited many of her parent’s traits. Just look at her 2011 histogram with a 18.6 AFD. She also exhibits correct conformation and shows presence in the field. Bay Laurel was an excellent mother with plenty of milk and easy deliveries. We expect Dominique to follow in her mother’s path.
