Skyline's Fiesta
Huacaya, Female, Proven | Dark Fawn
ARI# 31612944, D.O.B. 7/10/2009, 3/4 Peruvian, 1/4 Chilean
Sire: Skyline's Black Velvet ARI#
1224399 True Black Black Velvet is our stunning Synopsis Nocturna son out of a full Peruvian Matador Dam. With velvety soft, lustrously black fleece, he truly is Black Velvet. He also has correct conformation, good bone density, and a gentle personality. Black Velvet was shown at the most competitive shows during his juvenile year and he achieved a Blue Ribbon at the 2006 AOBA Nationals in a very large class.
With Black Velvet’s outstanding genetics, and show record, we were very excited to add him to our Stud Row. Black Velvet settled his first female with one breeding, just shy of 2 years of age! That cria has arrived, and he is an outstanding Med. Brown male out of a white dam. We couldn't be more pleased. We were equally pleased with his 2009 crias. He gave us two daughters, both very nice Dark Fawn/Light Brown girls out of white and light fawn Dams. One of these daughters, Fiesta, won 2nd at the extemely large 2010 GWAS in the Dark Fawn Juvinile FF class!! No surprise with a 19.8 AFD.
Black Velvet is easy to handle and a good breeder. We hate to part with him, but we are downsizing and have too many males. I'm sure you will be pleased to add him to your herdsire row as we know he produces quality cria.
Dam: Derwydd Peruvian Inti-Sapa's Tika ARI#
1436358 White
Service Sire: Accoyo America Phoenix ARI#
851807 Medium Fawn Not Actually Sold as he passed away, but I didn't want to delete him as we have his genetics on our farm!
Accoyo America Phoenix is a spectacular example of Hemi-Accoyo genetics. He is the much decorated Medium Fawn son of Phoenicia, a full Peruvian, True Black, Camilio daughter who is also an AOBA National Black Color Champion. His Sire, Vic Junior, is the best-known full Peruvian son of Accoyo Victor, and grandson of Peruvian Hemingway. Phoenix is extremely dense with a bright fleece arranged in well-differentiated, long-stapled bundles. He’s a robust, vigorous, well-conformed herdsire with a long and successful show record. His annualized fleece weight for 2007 was 11.8 pounds and this 4th fleece still has amazing character and fineness.
Oh my, Phoenix's cria have arrived, and we are NOT disappointed: Color, Density, Fineness, and Character. What more can we ask for? We now know we are extremely fortunate to have added this outstanding male to our herdsire row. Please email or phone to schedule a breeding.
Description
Fiesta just delivered an awesome cria. This little guy, Copperfield, is a real show-stopper with gorgeous crimpy fleece that you would expect to see on a White animal, not a Med. Brown! We plan to keep Copperfield, but we will include a breeding and free board until the cria is weaned.
Fiesta’s golden Dark Fawn fleece carries her Dam’s superb fiber characteristics and is a result of breeding a White Dam with a colored pedigree, to a Jet Black herdsire, Black Velvet, a AOBA Blue Ribbon Winner! Fiesta’s Dam, Tika, is an Inti-Sapa daughter that has maintained her fineness--Tika’s 5-year histogram was 18.3 AFD, 3.8 SD, 20.6 CV and 1.2%>30u. Black Velvet has an equally impressive pedigree, and show record.
No surprise that Fiesta’s first histogram came in with a 19.0 AFD and 4.2 SD. Fiesta was shown at GWAS, one of the largest shows in the US, and Jude Anderson noticed, awarding her 2nd place in a class of 12.
We wish we could keep Fiesta, but we need to downsize so we have to sell some of our best. We are sure she will be an impressive producer for you.
Fiesta was bred to our own Accoyo America Phoenix for her maiden breeding. Phoenix sports an extremely dense, bright and well-differentiated fleece, and passes his fleece character along to all the crias he has sired. We have rebred Fiesta to Phoenix for a 2013 cria. You will love what you get if it is anything like the cria she just had!
