Compadre is a magnificent true black herdsire from strong black genetics. He is one of the best alpacas ever produced at Alpacas de la Patagonia. Now with numerous offspring on the ground, he is proving his prepotency. He has stamped out in every cria his beautiful head, strong bone structure, solid conformation, fineness, extreme luster, crimp & lock definition. Compadre has extremely strong black color genetics. He has produced 100% black when bred to black and twice when bred to grey has produced grey. When bred to whites, fawns and browns he has thrown black 41% of the time and so far has always produced cria darker than color of the dam. Combine these traits with his 8 lb shear wt, an adjusted spinning fineness of 18 microns at 2 years of age and it's clear that Compadre is a World Class Herd Sire, a must have in any breeding program. Princess is a solid, proven, Full Peruvian production female. She delivers her cria easily, and they all thrive. Previously Princess has produced 3 award-winning cria. We purchased one of her first crias, Heaven Lee at the Eastern Extreme auction in 2005 and she went on to receive a 2nd place ribbon at the very competitive AWE show the next spring. Now Heaven Lee is one of our best black females at the farm. The following year, Princess produced an outstanding male, Kentucky Criations Seabiscuit that went on to be a color champion. In 2007 she produced yet another beautiful black cria that won a 2nd place at the equally competitive 2008 Alpacapalooza. That’s 3 for 3! Princess gave us yet another awesome female in the spring of 2008. Her sire is MKC’s Prince Jordan, our Rose Grey Absolute son. This certainly was a “royal” combination and Cinderella has developed into a fine young maiden. In May 2009 Princess produced another beautiful son out of Accoyo America Phoenix. He is full Peruvian, and looks to have everything one could want in an up and coming herdsire. Of course, we have to wait and see. But from what I do see so far, he looks great. For Princess’ 2010 cria we have bred her to our young grey herdsire Quito, and she is confirmed pregnant. I’m sure this will be an equally nice cria as Quito comes from 2 Color Champions, and Princess has been a consistent producer of award-winning cria time and again.
