35370673 White Priam is one of several offspring here born to CCNF Pristine, the top white Archangel daughter in our breeding program. It was not by chance that at the 2019 Futurity Show Priam and his kid brother, Perceus (Pristine's latest), were the White Champion and Reserve Champion respectively. It is a line we value highly, with multiple maternal female siblings and nieces and grand nieces already working alongside their matriarch in our herd. Priam's older full brother, CCNF Primus, is actually headed to Germany!
Though Priam was a bit too young to work last summer, we are confident that he will begin to actively breed this coming breeding season of 2019. Combining the lasting fineness of his maternal grandsire Archangel -- and let's also give some much earned respect to his maternal graddam, PPPeruvian Prestige -- with the uniformity and density of the Quechua/Matrix Majesty lines, he will have a limited but important role to play within our program. Priam will also be available for limited outside stud service.

We are suckers for a genetic narrative and CCNF Pristine Lahaina has a great one! While she is of course a dense, fine-fleeced, statuesque specimen in her own right: a true representation of what we’ve been striving to produce here in our 25 years of breeding alpacas, she of course doesn’t come by those characteristics by chance. Sired by 2019 Futurity Champion, CCNF Priam, Lahaina represents the first time we had a cria born with both CCNF Ascension (her maternal granddam, AKA Elixir’s dam) and CCNF Pristine (her paternal granddam) in the pedigree so directly. We’d been itching to combine the two powerful matriarchal lines that originated here by crossing CCNF Archangel with both PPPeruvian Prestige and 4Peruvian Cangalli, and the results are pretty stunning! Add to all of that the genetics of CCNF Defiance (Xanadu P. Cadenza x Snowmass Elite Legend) and of course our beloved, Snowmass Matrix Majesty, and well…the table is very nicely set.
