Sire: RR Spinosa ARI#
32661583 True Black Spinosa is one of the outstanding black offspring produced by Renaissance Ridge Alpacas out of Snowmass Midnight Sun.
This line has been insinuated throughout their herd and has been a counterpoint in their grey breeding.
His mom is a fixture in their foundation herd and had a brilliant show career. She produced RR La Boheme, a 3 time color champion and one of the highest sellers at the Futurity in 2014.
We love Spinosa's fleece as much for it's handle, as for it's brightness, length, and well organized staple.
He is a sturdy, well conformed male.

Dam: Arapaho COSETTE by Vantaggio ARI#
32278866 Medium Silver Grey Cosette: Matriarch Profile
Introduction
Cosette, whose name draws inspiration from the central character in the play "Les Misérables," stands out as a remarkable matriarch within the herd.
Offspring and Their Characteristics
To date, Cosette has produced seven offspring: Delgado, Spice, Zesty, Dakota, Cinco, Phantom, and Te Ata. Each of these crias exhibits consistently friendly temperaments, making them enjoyable to handle and interact with. They are also noted for their excellent fiber density, a highly valued trait in alpacas, and distinctively long eyelashes, which add to their unique appearance. Among her offspring, Zesty is the only one with a brown coat, while the others are gray.
Future Breeding Plans
Looking ahead, Cosette is scheduled to breed this spring with Nicaeus. It is anticipated that she will deliver a cria in the spring of 2027, continuing her legacy of producing exceptional offspring.

Description
Ian Watt, Alpaca Consulting Services USA comment on Delgado's Skin Biopsy Report
"This is the best silver grey I have ever tested and truly is one out of the box!
The density is elite, the uniformity both within and between fiber population is exceptional , especially for a grey of any type and the S:P is very, very good.
The 9.9 micron count is rare indeed and came from a derived secondary follicle which is the sign of a very uniformly distributed follicle development in the skin.
This a beautiful set of fleece numbers."
What a great combination of genetics created Delgado. His grandsire, LV Vantaggio di Bisturi is the third density alpaca with a 74.5 mm skin biopsy (as of June 2018). Throw in some Silver Rose Sentinel who has an above average density but incredible staple length. Those two factors created the dynamics to allow Delgado to shear 11.8 pounds of fiber on his small 123 pound frame. Put that all together with a sweet personality who loves to give kisses and you have Delgado.
