31139731 Light Brown Snowmass Matrix Majesty was the Reserve Dark Herdsire of the Year award at the 2011 Futurity as well as the Fawn Champion at the 2010 Futurity and with good reason too. Since that time he has had several crops of crias born here at Cas-Cad-Nac and to say that he has been impactful in our breeding program, would be a gross understatement. In addition to multiple Championships and Judges' Choice awards (at both the 2014 AOA National Show and 2014 Futurity) his offspring have also combined to win multiple Get-of-sire classes for their all-world sire. Majesty has also the winner of the Futurity Herdsire of the Year awards again in both 2013 and 2014.
Matrix Majesty is the genetic amalgam of some of the greatest names to ever grace the North American alpaca herd. Herdsires such as Chaccu, Legacy, Hemingway, Quechua, Matrix, Elite, Augusto, Accoyocusani, and Bueno are all present. Also present in his pedigree are the famous rock star dams PPP Prestige, 4P Isabella, PP Jesusa, and Snowmass Maree Love, the first three of whom we also had the great privilege of having here in our foundation herd late in their lives. Needless to say, the genetics in this guy are stacked and it shows.
Snowmass Matrix Majesty displays the amazing fleece characteristics that the Quechua line has become known for: the combination of elite fineness and uniformity throughout while sacrificing nothing in density. Now fully owned by CCNF and used almost exclusively within our own herd where we play him off of the CCNF Elixir and CCNF Royal Ring of Fire lines, as of January 2017 Majesty is closed for outside stud service.

Description
Born after our family’s return from Norway in the summer of 2016 where we were visiting our friends at Alpacajoy of Norway -- who just happen to own this female’s full sister, CCNF Lycia, naming Midnatsol was a relative breeze. As with other members of her maternal line we have sold over the years, while her sire is of course pertinent to the discussion – and Snowmass Matrix Majesty should need almost no introduction at this point – it is her maternal line that really stands out here. Her dam (CCNF Lilah), her maternal granddam (CCNF Magdalena), * her * full brother (Golden Sovereign), and of course her maternal great-granddam, the mighty PPeruvian Jesusa, have left an indelible mark here in our breeding program since they first arrived in 2002. So there’s that - not a bad place to start, right?
The initial breeding path for this female is of course also preordained: unless her new owners quite frankly have a mental episode, Midnatsol’s first and included breeding should only be with 2017 Futurity Herdsire of the Year, CCNF Elixir. The track record of both this maternal line crossing with Elixir -- exemplified most recently in Midnatsol’s JC-winning older sister, CCNF Delilah -- is already proven and then when you consider the powerful crosses of Elixir and Majesty kids in general (see our 2018 Futurity results as Exhibit A), the genetic math is just a no-brainer.
