Sire: Skyline's Francisco ARI#
31613408 Medium Silver Grey Skyline’s Francisco is one of our special grey herdsires. He has an amazing Med. Silver Grey fleece that is both fine and dense – we just love his handle. No surprise given his genetics. His Sire is Snowmass Nova’s Nuance who comes from the Nova, Casanova and Bueno line as well as the Incan Magic Line. His Dam is HDF Francy who is a Med. Silver Grey out of PPeruvian Felix. Really, this is quite an impressive line-up.
Francisco has produced a number of special cria for us –his latest is a gorgeous fawn girl out of a fawn. Francisco tends to throw the color of the Dam and his cria have inherited his fine soft fleece. We are putting Francisco on our sales list, as we need to downsize both our female and our male alpacas. We will be sad to see him go as he has a gentle personality and a beautiful fleece. You won’t be disappointed with this purchase.
Dam: Skyline's Peruvian Curiosity_deleted_7/6/2024 11:44:45 PM ARI#
32735192 Light Fawn The combination of Skyline's Peruvian Star Burst and LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight did not disappoint us. Skyline's Peruvian Curiosity is an amazing Light Fawn female that has an awesome head, incredible density and an amazing fleece. Just look at her 5th (2017) histogram! 20.2 AFD, 4.0 SD, 19.7 CV and 2.1%.30u. We love this female and are so happy to have her as part of our foundation herd!
Description
Skyline’s Daphne is an amazing Light Fawn/Beige female that was a real surprise for us given that her Dam’s Sire is True Black, LMFI Peruvian Black Midnight, and Daphne’s Sire, Skyline’s Francisco, is Medium Sliver Grey and a son of a grey dam, HDF Francy and a black sire, Snowmass Nova’s Nuance! I remember when she was born I thought, A light Fawn, REALLY!
But Daphne is a very impressive gal that has awesome genetics and a beautiful dense, fine and crimpy fleece! Her ancestors include: Snowmass Nova, PPeruvian Felix, Incan Magic, Peruvian Jericho, Peruvian Black Pearl, Victor’s Vic Jr., Pacific Crest Camilio’s Phoenicia and Altiplano Gold! That is an impressive line-up.
Daphne was born late in our season and was not cria shorn so we chose not to show her, but that doesn’t mean she isn’t impressive. As she has matured, we appreciate her even more. She is a fading light fawn so parts of her fleece are Light Fawn, but other parts are Beige. We love her crimp and her amazing brightness. We would love to keep Daphne, but we have her Dam and Sire, so with too many females on the farm, we reluctantly are placing Daphne on our sales list.
You won’t be disappointed with this female as she has deep color in her pedigree, and she will bring wonderful fiber characteristics to a colored breeding program. We’ve posted 4 photos of her fleece so that you can get an idea of its beauty. 3 are of her juvenile fleece and one photo was taken 12/31/17! With only 225 days of growth, Daphne’s Juvenile fleece had an impressive 4” of growth!
