I adore his super silky buttery slick soft fleece. BRIGHT bright bright - we're all about handle here, and he tops the charts. Dense locks too.
We don't breed for fawns as a rule, but we absolutely breed for this kind of fleece, on this kind of frame, with his wonderful typey head. Repeating the breeding was a no brainer.
Oh - and he's an absolute doll too.

From his shearing 5/17/18:
AFD 15.1 ; SD 3.1 ; CV 20.3 ; 0.5 % >30

He's bound to have the ability to cover lots of color - daddy being a classic silver grey Futurity champion, momma being a modern DRG daughter of Black National fleece champion, Zeppelin.

In many enjoyable conversations with fellow breeders, when the topic turns to breeding for color and quality - we often talk as though we have to choose between the two. Zack is an excellent example of why we don't believe it's necessary to sacrifice quality, when breeding for color. This young man will compete very nicely with the very best of fawns from light focused breeding programs.
He's Zackly what we breed for! ;^)

At his first show - Txolan 2018 -
He was awarded a Blue ribbon and Reserve Champion Light (beige and light fawn) in walking fleece -
and 5th place in his halter class of 8 exceptional light juvenile males.
At his next show, MOPACA, we missed the walking fleece deadline, but in halter, he again placed 5th, this time in a class of 11 light fawn juvies. Wade commented that Zack's class was one of the most competitive classes he had judged so far at the show.
We are just so proud of this guy.
